“Kitchen” area very limited. Electric circuit turned off several times during our stay. Dinner is one price; I’d prefer to pay ala carte.

Nice and calm rooms (no traffic noise), most of the staff very friendly and obliging. Everything nice and clean. They realized our wish for a room without stairs and helped with every concern we had!

Restaurant: The variety of choices during dinner buffet could be more. Breakfast is till 10am, we were asked for "last order" already way before 10am as at 10am SHARP the buffet was put away. In no other hotel I have experienced this so far.

- My room was very hot with no A/C or fan (it was okay once I could open the door at night for cool air, but in the afternoon it was uncomfortable) - With heavy bags, it was a fairly long walk from reception to my room, followed by the need to climb stairs (no elevator)

The room was very well equipped and the attached restaurant and breakfast were excellent.

if you don’t speak Spanish, this is a difficult place to check in. the person working the desk knew no English. Luckily, two persons who happened to be present translated for us.

I stayed at Geotel Calama and had a fantastic experience. The hotel's location near the airport, restaurants, and shops was perfect. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. I highly recommend Geotel Calama to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.

Nice option if you somehow end up in Calama. Clean room/bathroom etc. Booking price was cheaper than paying directly at the hotel so I booked via booking.com while in the lobby. The "hotel" is really more like a few apartment buildings (see pic on Booking) but same difference. Parking was secure with gate and guard. Seems like it's mostly lodging for local miners.

Seems like the miners staying at the place really like to back their trucks up a lot and their trucks always beep - loudly - when backing up. Dinner buffet was waaaaaay overpriced at around $25 US and the food was distinctly average.

Clean, big room, comfortable bed. Location is close to the airport (15 min by car) which is great.

If you want to pay with cash in USD, you have to have the exact amount in cash. We even asked them about the paying in message, but they did not mention this tiny detail. On the other hand card payment is only possible with Credit card.

dinner had little flexibility — choice of two proteins plus array of side dishes and desserts. not bad, I don’t typically eat a big evening meal and would have preferred not to pay the set price.

Safety,friendly staffs and breakfast. The city has high crime rate but we did not know when we booked. This property has security guards with gate and they checked everyone when get in.

The property does not have a heating system or air conditioning. We feel a little chilly at night. We did not know that until we checked-in. The water pipes are loose or leaking.

Hotel is in a compound and felt very safe. Outside area did not feel safe. Someone at the gate at all times checking people in, felt safe to walk at night alone. Parking was well organized At check in got a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar which was nice. Bar+ Restaurant and garden were very will decorated. Amazing WIFI connection. Very fast and worked ALL over the property not just the rooms.

Room had only 2 pillows (1 per person) Would have appreciated 2 pillows and it is tough for most to sleep on 1. Staff at check in were a bit rude (Maybe cause I did not speak spanish?) I had all my documents but was still given a hard time.
