Very nice view of a nice river, full of wild birds , bird nests,… check in guy was nice and friendly. Room was nice and spacious, clean and pleasant. No elevator to second level.
There was a nasty woman at the reception, trying to take a power trip… at breakfast the same woman rudely asking for room numbers and at checkout asking for already approved credit card receipts to be individually written, named and id numbers with persons’s handwriting as if she were doubtful of already provided full details … breakfast could be better in variety of cereals, etc… no nuts, coffee was tea like … no eggs or cheeses…

The location on the river was beautiful. Peaceful, quiet. There was a boat yard away, which was sort of charming.
It was like a bad motel 6, stuck in the 80s. Bad smelly and probably moldy carpet, lousy bed where you could feel the springs. This placed is priced like a 4 star hotel which it is woefully not, maybe a 2 star at best. Generally the service staff was kind and helpful. The front desk lady couldn’t bother to say hello or thank you and bordered on rude, she barely lifted her head when we walked in the lobby. The restaurant was completely closed.
This place could be magnificent if they bothered to reinvest the exhorbitant amount of money that was charged, back into the hotel and into training.

We had a room with river and pool view on the second floor, the view was quite amazing. The location of the hotel is perfect if you have a car, easy to arrive and easy to drive back to the center of the city.
Overall I'm very happy with our stay, but the continental breakfast could be improved.

Front desk:
The front desk clerks were very hospitable, and kindly offered and arranged the reservation of taxi to a place I'd have liked to go. They also consulted me nicely about the activities in Valdivia such as a ferry tour.
Bathroom:
There was a small central heating system in the bathroom to keep it warm, in addition to the main one in the bedroom.
There was a support bar on the wall aside the bathtub, to help us not to slip during a bath, that is helpful not only for elder people but also for anybody.
There was a plug of the bathtub. It suggests, in addition to the side of the hotel, previous hotel guests have had good manners. As bathtubs in Chile are not usually equipped with a ring such that the plug is connected to the bathtub by the chain of the plug, the plug has got lost in some hotels even when the hotels equip with bathtub.
View (location):
The hotel lights up the garden along the river at night, that gave me further nice memory of the place.
The main building of the hotel is one of the charming buildings along the Valdivia river between the bank and Haverbeck island. It must have been contributing to Valdivia's name among tourists, as I saw the building attracted the eyes of ferry tour's passengers.
Breakfast:
The hotel is very exceptional in Chile in that it served vegetable in addition to fruit at breakfast. I’ve ever met in any other hotels I stayed in Santiago, Valparaiso, Puerto Montt, Castro, Temuco, Pucón, Osorno.
It would be nice to visit on summer, as they even have small pools aside the river.

I enjoyed the main building's ambience. Was a former maritime business and they managed to keep the traditional style. Very well kept. On the river banks, you can enjoy a quiet and very peaceful stay. Gardens are cleaned every days (leaves removal). The manager/owner ( I suppose) seemed to have a very good professional relationship with the staff. Something extremely important and crucial for a business to be successful
No value for money. Extremely expensive considering how basic and bare the rooms are. Amenities and room's cosiness are lacking.
Breakfast selection is very basic and too simple.

location on the bank of the river, Gustavo, the receptionist was very friendly and attentive :)
some rooms are located in the wing which is not visible on the picture, does not look attractive at all, the room was very basic and worn out, a hostel type, bear walls, no decoration. The location is on the river bank but on the street that gets very busy. and far from the city center, would not come back.

The rooms and the grounds were beautiful. Very quiet. The lawn area and path by the river was lovely. The buffet breakfast was very good and varied. The restaurant was also excellent.
Two things:
1) we ended up paying the IVA even though we are not Chilean or foreign residents. We provided our passports and visas when we checked in. We thought that would be taken care of as a credit to our credit card, but that has not happened.
2) The rooms need screens for the windows. The outside air is nice at night, especially with the nearby river and foliage, but the unscreened windows allow mosquitos to enter if the windows are left open.

The place was good, the view from the room, the swimming pool
The room would need a redesign, because it's quite old. The breakfast was pretty basic for this price positioning.
3.9
Lovely location on river, rooms have view. Great breakfast. Easy bus ride to town.
3.9
Nice location, friendly staff, security good
The hotel managment is deficient, for breakfast people are crammed in the lobby instead of using the ample space in the restaurant and on the terrace (apparently remnants from COVID measures); No facilities in the room, not even simple drinking water, let alone a heater with coffee and a tea selection. The price was totally over the top with 210 USD for a room and a service which should at most cost between 60 - 80 USD per night.
3.9
It is beautiful, right on the river. Large rooms. 2 swimming pools.
3.9
Nice room, elegant setting, really nice sitting outside in the evening on the river.
Bar restaurante closes at 9, not really walking distance to downtown businesses. A little less friendly and welcoming than most places we've been in Chile.
3.9
Beautiful room, good heat, stable wifi.
3.9
It is located in a nice spot, in front of the river.
It was not possible to control the room temperature. During the night, was an oven.
The bed also was very uncomfortable.

Location, breakfast was good

The hotel is right by the river, and you can get fantastic views from the deck and from the rooms. The staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant is okey for lunch. My room was luminous, spacious, and the area where we stayed had a delightful mid-century modern architecture that was very well preserved.
Sound insulation was very poor, I could hear my neighbour on the phone. Both pools in the hotel looked quite dirty. Breakfast was outright mediocre. The service at the hotel restaurant could be greatly improved: our waiter disappeared several times because he was watching a football game!!
3.9
great location and views, very good breakfast
for this kind of room I’d expect a king bed, and plastic chairs in the balcony doesn’t match either…
