WE LOVE THE KOALA TREE MOTEL. This is our third stay. The staff are exceptional. Friendly and really understand people travelling with pets. They go above and beyond. The rooms are so comfortable and clean and it's close to everything. If you want pet friendly accommodation in Port Macquarie, this is it.

One phone number was disconnected. The other landline number rang out. The room had a really bad smell, the roof had water leak, there were cockroaches and geckos in the room. The bathroom was water logged, no shower curtain, the tap in the vanity was loose and broken. The bunk bed was loose and was so unstable the kids couldn’t sleep in it. The rooms were so unkept and felt so dirty. The parking was unmanaged and there were cars just parked anywhere. The room was so expensive. We paid the same for a beautiful apartment that overlooked the Sydney harbour for a night.

The room had a horrible smell, family room was so small, kitchen consisted of a microwave and fridge, no cutlery or crockery, undercover parking not available as owners use as storage facility fir furniture and building materials.

Terrible parking too small. The Motel wanted an extra $20 for a simple code number to get in the door. Rip off.

staff - we were not informed of the very dangerous trip hazard outside 2 of our rooms. it was extremely poorly lit and the front porch was half completed with decking. my 70 year old mother had to step over a pile of decking planks to enter her room. there was no signage warning of danger, no mention of this when checking in by a very rude reception. also on returning home my husband noticed we had been charged twice for my booking. I rang the hotel to ask question and he made no apology for not informing me of this- stating instead it would be refunded after a few days - this was my total for three rooms - close to $550 that I would be without and he informed me that he’d known they’d over charged me for three days and had made no attempt to inform me of their error. he at no point apologised or offered any compensation and became very rude. I will never return and in fact have reported the unsafety of this property.

Large room with couch, table and chairs. Microwave, large tv, kettle, fridge, toaster, plates, cups, glasses, tea, milk, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was very large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. a short walk to lovely Thai restaurant. Friendly helpful staff

Hard to rate the place and area due to the orific weather conditions. Leaving today which is a shame.
