We loved everything about this hotel the only downside was that we only booked 2 nights. From the minute you arrive the views are incredible, the hotel was beautiful and the service was absolutely amazing. There is no wonder this hotel gets full scores in review sites it was honestly so perfect. We were on holiday celebrating our first pregnancy and my Husband booked this for us and we had the most special 2 nights and even took our pregnancy reveal photos on the beach during sunset. As a sunset lover this hotel is in the perfect position! the room was big, modern, clean and we had an amazing view! The bed was the biggest I have ever stayed in! They give you free water, fruit, shots (even made me a non alcohol one as I’m pregnant), lots of small touches that make a big difference. Our stay was so prefect that the hotel we went to afterwards did not even compare. We really hope to return next year with our baby. Katerina was lovely and gave us good advise on where to visit while there and so was Stavros, you can tell he is a brilliant manager he is constantly on the ball observing everything. They both waited with us for our taxi when we left which I thought was really sweet, the service is very personal. We went to Masouri one night which was lovely, if there was more on the evening menu at the hotel we would have probably just stayed there though as the setting is just stunning and it makes you not want to leave. There was nothing we didn’t like but if I had to give some constructive feedback to help the hotel the serving staff were a little forgetful at times, one evening I ordered a Caesar salad with no bacon and when it came it had loads of bacon in it, my Husband asked for ketchup at breakfast and they forgot to bring it etc. so just a couple of little things like that but no big issue I just picked the bacon out :) I think the evening menu could have a little more choice, but that’s just me personally as I am a fussy eater, I preferred the day time menu. I also think the pool towels need a refresh but I understand that after washing towels every single day it’s easy for them to look worn. Those are just very minor things but I would go back in a heartbeat!

We loved the classy minimal design of the hotel and the beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The beds were really comfy and the shower was amazing. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and even gave us handshakes when we arrived! The reception was always happy to organise a taxi or car rental for us when needed. The food and drinks at the bar/restaurant were perfect and reasonably priced, and every time we sat by the pool they gave us water and fresh beach towels. Room service was amazing too, they came everyday to replace our coffee pods and tidy the room! Thankyou for making our holiday perfect we will definetly be coming again! x

Everything was brilliant!

The breakfast was the right mix of Greek and other cultures and was outstanding. The service was way above average in all areas of the hotel; incredibly friendly people. The location was secluded with stunning views and direct access to the beach. And the room/accommodations are very spacious, well laid out with everything you need inside.

The facilities were modern and very well kept. The breakfast had a great variety and was always fresh and delicious. The staff is very polite, professional and happy to help at any time. The restaurant is also exceptional, with great food quality, taste and value for money. Last but not least, the location is wonderful, as on one side you can enjoy the mountain view, while on the other side, you can gaze at the beautiful sunset over the sea that is right in front of the hotel. This location is worth your visit.

The hotel is wonderful. The pool area is great, the breakfast is amazing, it offers different kind of salty and sweet foods. The lunch is also great! I loved it. Our room was big, very well cleaned and with a comfortable bed. The staff is supportive, they organized a cake for the birthday of my boyfriend (the cake was sooo good!!). They helped us in organizing taxi and deciding which boat to take to travel from Kos to Kalymnos.

This is a magical place. Amazing service. Wonderful beach and pool area. The suite was really nice and large. We also loved the jacuzzi.

I concur with all the positive reviews that have gone before mine. Those that gave sub-par reviews are likely to be those who would win the lottery and find fault with that. I almost don't want to give a good review because selfishly, I don't want Kantouni Beach to lose its exclusivity. However, to not give it, the management and the staff anything but 10/10 would be an injustice. The hotel's beautiful and is set in a perfect location. It's modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. That it's only 30 rooms is just a perfect size. The staff are amazing. They're totally guest centric. So diligent and conscientious. They work so hard for you and go out of their way to make your stay special. It was my birthday while we was there. Politely, quietly and discreetly I was wished well and was surprised with a cake brought to our table. It's the little touches like that, that I'm trying to convey to you in this review.

I have one observation. One point of feedback, and this is totally specific to me. The hotel was never advertised as adults only so we weren't mis-sold, but I would prefer Kantouni Beach to beach to be adults only. There was a newborn baby and another infant child at the hotel during our stay, and my sleep was interrupted in the night by feed times! I thought I'd given all that up more then 25 years ago! As I say, a very personal observation, and not the fault of the hotel.

Everything was amazing

The efficient way the hotel is run , everything is just perfect, spotlessly clean & extremely comfortable.delicious breakfast with plenty to choose from, very varied a la carte menu in the evening.The staff are unbelievably attentive & helpful, such a beautiful hotel

Location was excellent, great choice of breakfast, however, hot food did not meet hotel standards as it was usually cold.

The hot food was nice, but shame that was not hot enough.

Breakfast buffet was decent and staff were super friendly

Not the hotel’s fault but maybe impose a time limit on how long sunbeds can be left unoccupied- there were sunbeds on the pool that people reserved and wern’t there for 3 hours!

superb staff - they really make this hotel - attention to detail - cold water in ice buckets when sunbathing and cold towels to cool off are just examples. they all work incredible hours and are continually smiling and friendly High quality food -we don’t normally eat dinner in our hotel, but did on our 1st night - it was surprisingly very good - as were the lunches and breakfasts - all with great attention to detail lovely location - easy to think there’s little in the surrounding village but that’s not the case - just wander and we found good places for drinks and food Facilities- immaculately clean - our room was lovely and cleaned every day- excellent bed linen and towels, robes, slippers, flip flops and even a beach bag! sunset views with a good gin and tonic - hard to beat

The Kantouni Beach Boutique Hotel is the BEST hotel on the island of Kalynmos, from the moment my family and I arrived we were treated exceptionally well. Stavros (Manager) treated us to welcome drinks and continued to greet us every time he saw us around the hotel ensuring any needs we had were met. I want to say a special thank you to the front office staff (Katerina, Eirini and Spyros) who organised our room service (we traveled with a toddler), arranged all our taxis in a timely manner and made suggestions on things to do. They made sure guests were able to arrange their ferries due to a weather warning. There was a large selection at breakfast, where Miltos was waiting to greet you and ensure you have any drinks you require as soon as you sit down. The staff would see my family coming towards them and they already had the baby seat ready for us. If you sit by the pool, then the waitors/waitresses (Mikes, Kostas, Melina and Anna) were ready to provide ice cold water and fruit - always with a smile. Our room was immaculately cleaned and the bedsheets refreshed everyday by Popi and Zina (which was amazing as our toddler likes to live in chaos). All staff made our stay so enjoyable, they really went above and beyond to treat us like family which made us so sad when we had to leave. We will definitely come back to Kalynmos and this will be the only place we will stay.

We had an amazing time in Kantouni. It is beautiful new hotel with great design, right on the beach. I loved the swimming pool, what a great ambiance! Breakfast was very delicious and fresh. There are some cute local restaurants in walking distance.

We were made to feel so welcome by the staff who were very attentive and kind. The room was amazing and so was the pool and the views. Breakfast was perfect.

We stayed 11 nights and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation! The pool and view are fantastic. Grounds and rooms are maintained very well. Staff: Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know them during our stay. Food: great breakfast options, nice daytime snacks by the pool, and excellent cocktails. Location: quiet area with tavernas within walking distance, easy to explore the rest of the island by taxi, scooter, or car. We hope to stay again soon.

staff were amazing

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location right on the beach. If you are looking for a hotel to fully relax this is the place for you. You will be able to sunbathe from the most comfortable sunbeds and you will be able to enjoy the most stunning sunsets. But what really makes the place is the wonderful staff. They are all very service minded and work very hard to make it a wonderful holiday for you. Thank you so much to Stavros and his wonderful team - Melina, Miltos, Mikes, Galatiani, Anna, Kostas, Katarina and her lovely colleague on reception.

The area is quite quiet. This is not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. Massouri with its many restaurants and bars and Pothia, the island's capital and departure point to many islands, are both short taxi rides away.
