Beautifully refurbished and super clean! Great place to stay!

We had a small problem with heating but as we understand there was a power cut and owners were happy to deal with it.

We loved the exemplary quality of the barn suite’s fixtures, fittings and decor; truly stunning. Super dog-friendly place to stay and made to feel very welcome. Dog was allowed to have a free run over some of the fields round the pond. Every attention to detail was much appreciated and enjoyed by us, down to the dog bowl, treats and dog towels supplied at no extra cost. The suite was very generously supplied with more than enough equipment to make anyone’s stay a delight. Super-comfortable bed and beautiful bedding too. Many thanks to all at Anran.

Internet access and mobile coverage are patchy here, but that has to be tempered with the enormous fun had watching my partner detox from his normal 8 hours a day screen habits 🤣. Hard to see this as a genuine disadvantage as it makes it difficult for anyone to interrupt your holiday. Just go out for the day and get your internet chores done while you’re out!

Mike and Edwin are lovely hosts, so friendly and welcoming. The facilities are just as described. The grounds are lovely. We used it as a weekend to get outside and explore, we think you will make the most of the experience if you have a car and can travel to nearby locations. The breakfast was good too!

Nothing - it was exactly what we expected!

The place is beautiful, location is great and our dogs were in heaven playing at the private lake. Also check out the pub up the road, it’s a nice walk through the fields.

Staff were very helpful and the property is beautiful. Mike, the owner was a great help with finding local excursions and great to chatter with. Lush stay!

Breakfast was brilliant - owners are relaxed and generous - nothing is too much trouble for them.

Both hosts were very warm, friendly accommodating and very helpful. It was a pleasant surprise and I am very pleased that I stubbled on this gem the last minute - I felt at home. My breakfast had a personal touch to it - fabulous!!!

Very relaxed, safe and comfortable environment. Mike is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms/ grounds / gardens are beautiful.

In terms of value for money, breakfast was nice, however, could perhaps offer more in the way of cheese and hams.

Everything about the property is exceptional, outside and inside areas clean and comfortable. Little touches here and there which were lovely. Quality products in rooms for use. Hosts were great, just the correct amount of interaction with guests. Would love to return with extended family! Dog friendly stay too which is important to us. Definitely recommend.....

We found a good deal on booking.com and was eager to find out what this place was about. Amazing spacious room to high standard of decoration and quality facilities. Everything you need in the environment/room you’re given. A lot bigger than the photos; photos really don’t do the stay justice it really does take you’re breath away with the scale and beauty of the room. A beautiful location and beautifully run property with amazing friendly staff. Opportunity to see the animals on the local farm and the chance to buy the local produce from the shop over the road. A local pub which is a 15 min walk through the grounds and local countryside which is sign posted the whole way. Local seaside towns just a short drive away making it very easy to accommodate a busy weekend of adventures. In general, the grounds and surrounding areas are stunning and kept up to very high standards, cannot fault anything from upon arrival to checking out. If you needed any assistance the staff are super friendly and will help amend any issues concerned. Will definitely be returning in the future, and would highly recommend this stay for anyone wanting a luxurious quiet retreat in the Devonshire countryside.
