Modernes, frisch renoviertes Zimmer. Ruhig gelegen am Rand eines kleinen Stadtwalds. Man schaut beim Frühstück im Winterharten ins Grüne. Das Einchecken war super einfach und problemlos.

Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem zentral. Abends findet man fußläufig in der Umgebung zahlreiche Restaurants. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön neu renoviert und sehr großzügig. Fantastisches Frühstück. Parkplätze hinter dem Haus. Guter Startpunkt um das Ruhrgebiet zu erkunden.

It's on booking.com as 4-stars hotel - absolutely no, 2-3 max on standards which are in my country and other countries I have been - maybe in Germany there is another ranting system. High price for such poor accommodation conditions. In other places in Germany for such standard prices ware much lower. I except **** hotel but for sure it wasn't.

It was a great shock to find this hotel unattended. A box outside provided a key upon payment. We seemed to be the only guests in a relatively big hotel. The images on the site looked nice, giving the impression there was a restaurant, but no. The next morning we found that there was a breakfast room and someone attending, but since we had not preordered, we were not expected. The hotel and Booking.com should have given better information about the situation.

To be alone in an empty hotel and due to the lacking facilities we had to go out and find a restaurant in the neighbourhood. Fortunately, we found an Italian place called La Bruscetta.

The room was functional, very clean and tidy. It is a 15 minutes walk away from the Messe conventions center, which makes it very convenient. On the other side, it's far enough from the center so that it's quiet. The room was a bit on the small, but ok.

Didn't find a common place in the hotel to meet during the evening, and the room was too small for that. The reception was closed in the evening. This wasn't a big problem though; they just left the keys in a locker outside. The surroundings were quiet, but it seemed like we could hear most noises coming from outside and from hallways.

I went to Essen for Essen Spiel. The hotel is within walkable distance from the event location at Messe Essen. The room was clean and had enough space. The shower was great. The reception was closed when we arrived but we got access to the keys from a safe with a code that we received using the booking app messenger.

The room was nice enough but it lacked some amenities (no fridge, no coffee machine). The hotel had the restaurant closed and we had to walk quite a bit to find a place to have dinner (almost back to Messe Essen). Also we would have liked to have a place to try out the new games we got but having the restaurant closed, there was no common are where we could sit together at a table.

Location, staff and breakfast were all great.

Room was rather small, Bathroom was incredibly small. Needs some renovation, carpets were old and frayed, heating elements made a lot of noice.
