The location is great.

The staff was very unpleasant and bossy. At one point we tried to eat dinner and asked to sit outside for COVID reasons. They had a very large outdoor terrace for serving food, but they got very upset about seating us out there. They actually started yelling amongst themselves that it would be too cold for us to sit outside, and that we'd just want to come inside in 5 minutes. Eventually, when we suggested that we'd go to another restaurant, they allowed us to sit outside and eat, and there were actually 4 other parties outside! It was just really rude.

Horrendous! I reserved the room. I requested, during opening hours a later check-in. They ACCEPTED a later check-in. If they declined my request, then I could have made other arrangements. They didn't decline. They ACCEPTED, then they FAILED to leave a key where they said they were going to. The result? 5 hours back and forth with booking to try and find a solution (there wasn't one). A missed Birthday present from my Mum, as it is not safe for me to partake, with such little  (no) sleep. Sitting in the 4 degrees weather, in my car without heating as after 2.5 hours the fuel started to run down. I can not put in to words the anxiety, and emotional and physical distress they have caused. They didnt answer the phone, loud knocks or emails from Booking. Then, in the morning, they had the audacity to email me and say sorry that the waiter forgot to put the key where they had promised, BUT followed switftly by several paragraphs explaining how its not their fault because they are a small hotel and tired when they finish work. That I should have booked a bigger hotel where they work less hours and have a night porter. I guess they forgot the part where they accepted my request, ahead of check-in and within opening hours. Their message was literally ended with.. .and I quote ... "its also your mistake not only ours." This is absolutely unacceptable and this message just adds to the clear lack of care and customer service towards their guests. The only mistake I made was booking this outrageous hotel in the first place. Absolutely disgraceful.

Close to the Cable Car. Quiet. Authentic. The soup and the rösti are delicious but I was sick the day after. I don't know if it's related. We arrived very late in the evening. The host wasn't happy and it's our fault. But...

I asked for a double room and I got a twin room. When I complained the host swap the room but told us that if we weren't happy we should go to Lauterbrunnen! It was rude. The bed mattresses were too soft and we got back pain. Washroom and closet shared with the other clients of the floor.

The location is 2nd to none.

The staff seemed very aggresive, i dont know if this is just a cultural thing as it is my first trip to Switzerland but we felt like we had angered the people working there.

The restaurant was more pleasant than I expected, eating in the garden. Food was as good as anywhere in the valley. Stechelberg turned out to be a good location to use as a base for walking. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were small, mattress may need replacement. A bit noisy at times but after dark very quiet.

Wonderful location, very well placed facility (right at the feet of the Jungfrau, served by a bus line connecting it to Lauterbrunnen, with a cable car station nearby), staff very available.

Only one minor issue: internet did not reach our room, so we had to stay downstairs in the hall to be able to use it.

Location and accessibility by car.

Hospitality could be better for the price being paid.

Great breakfast for price given its Switzerland. Cold meats, cheeses and eggs to boil as well as jams. Wonderful location...walk from door to wilder waterfalls further up valley. Walk to Schilthorn cable car. Affordable meals in evening

Ideally room big enough to have 2 beds alongside but was fine for price as booked economy double

The location was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms quite small and basic but very clean and ideal for overnight stay to explore the area.

Tina served us regularly and was very friendly. This B&B is family owned and you can feel their pride in providing the very best for their guests. I highly recommend this site because of that mentioned above as well as the ideal location for Murren and the lift.

Maybe the idea of sharing a shower and bathroom but it was never an issue for me or my family. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and clean. There was a sink in each room which was convenient.
