PÉSSIMO atendimento! Quarto sem ventilação, com cheiro de mofo e impossível secagem de qualquer peça de roupa. Colaboradores mal educados, debochados, com informações completamente desencontradas e equivocadas. Café da manhã horroroso, mal servido, ficamos 3 dos 4 dias sem café por desencontro de informações da recepção, principalmente pela falta de empatia, grosseria e incompetência do colaborador Manoel que mesmo sendo avisado não repassou a informação de antecipação do horário por conta do agendamento dos passeios. Além disso presenciei e filmei um rato enorme circulando no acesso aos quartos, comuniquei imediatamente dois colaboradores - mostrando a filmagem, e ambos arregalaram os olhos mas não saíram do lugar, zero providência.

Localização perfeita! Rua em frente a travessia da embarcação para Isla Mujeres.

É um absurdo um hotel desse nível não ter Wi-Fi nos quartos. Fiquei no térreo e nem o sinal da minha internet particular pegava.

Não tinha Wi-Fi e interfone nos quartos. Para conversar com a portaria ou usar internet tinha que ir até a recepção. Também não tinha frigobar.

I liked that it was slightly off the main strip but still close to everything. The marina being right next to the pool was very nice as well. The air conditioner works well, the staff was very accommodating at breakfast to my dietary restrictions. Very lovely people working there.

It feels very outdated hasn’t been upgraded since at least the 80s. I did like the architecture spanish vibe, but the stucco feels old and textured and retextured over certain spots. I was next to a family and I could hear every move they made the doors are paper thin. That stuff didn’t bother me that much tho. The last two things were that there was no wifi in the rooms. So guest came to the lobby to use the wifi. The mosquitos were eating me alive since it’s open air but I had to endure to check into my flight. Then lastly the rooms feels so damp. The bed, the sheets I think it’s just the climate in cancún but it made it hard for me to relax fully. I kept thinking for maybe a hundred more I could’ve been somewhere just a little more comfortable and close to the beach.

Where to start…the room was not as advertised. it was filthy, mould on the pillows and in the bathroom. The curtains were filthy and the room smelt. TV controls didn’t work. Dead bugs in the bathroom and the shower flooded constantly as the drain was blocked with god knows what. The pool area is completely shaded so there is no sun at all and the pool wasn’t clean and full of bugs and leaves. The staff were extremely slow to do anything and not very helpful. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Do not recommend.

entrance is very very bad n unpleasant looking. broken cement pieces and rocks at the entrance and curbsides, very uneven and bad to bring luggage in and to walk on as well as uneven walkway to rooms. needs tiles n not cement. bathroom door needs oil on hinge’s, noise all the time. TV was broken n had to be replaced. reception person was always helpful but moody and not happy or pleasant most time like most hotels in the area.

I'm a multiple repeat guest so I know what to expect and know that Sotoventa is an excellent value for the money. It is, however, not for the average tourist. The hotel staff is kind and genteel but they are neither fast nor efficient. Raccoons may try to open your patio door at night if you don't shut them properly. It's also a yacht club, so occasionally a boat owner may blare his stereo at 1:00am. The hotel wifi works really well......in the hotel lobby, it does not reach your room unless you are in A-C stairwells. With that said, it has old Cancun charm, it's a great location away from the tourists but inside the tourist zone. I love it.

The hotel restaurant has sub-par food, the prices are fair. Install wifi repeaters? That's too easy.

Accomodation was ok, very comfortable beds, 24/7 reception, nice pool.

Dont recomend to buy breakfast here- it took two hours (!) to get our breakfast and it was not worth it. There are other places serving breakfast around.

the room had mildew and the had used a lot of bleach on the furniture, floor and everywhere. it was super toxic and even bleached my sweat shirt that was draped over the chair. the smell was awful.
