Staff were so accommodating, very friendly and made our stay so much better

A little trouble parking (car park too small for the hotel) but again the staff helped out.

Good location. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.

On arrival the receptionist didnt greet us and took 5 minutes to acknowledge us standing there waiting to check in. The bath wasn't clean and the shower pressure was poor. Couldn't get the water to turn hot so ended up having a cold shower. Chocolate wrapper from previous occupants was left on the windowsill and the bed sheets had a stain on.

Central location, Clean, functional and helpful staff.

Decor appeared 'tired' but then again, the hotel is probably over 200 years old.

Room had not been cleaned. Bins not emptied. Wet towels. Used toiletries in bath Staned carpet and walls. Plaster coming off ceiling. Breakfast dreadful. Place looked deserted . No management team.

Great location and dogs allowed to stsy for small charge.

Both taps ran hot water so unsble to fill up dog's bowl. Shower was a bit mouldy and not fully cleaned as exfoliating glove from previous resident still there Extremely strong smelling shower gel provided which had musky scent that pervaded the whole room. Bathroom decor in poor condition.

The room needs updating. It felt dark, dingy and claustrophobic. Lights need checking out. Radiator did not work although an electric heater was provided. No wi fi or internet. Not value for the price.

Great and welcoming staff and great location.

Sadly, the heaters in our rooms didn't work. They moved me to another room on my request though my friend was cold. They were very happy though to refund our stay and it would not deter me from staying again, as they had problems with a newly installed boiler.

Our room no. 12 needs updating, The shower enclosure is too small to get in and out, door handle of the shower is broken. I had to help my husband to get out of the shower enclosure.

The hotel is in Poor condition overall. The Bed is old and not comfortable. The shower did not work. The toilet seat was loose. Window curtains not washed for ages and had stains. The hotel is very noisy due to the bar below and drunk people everywhere. I did not feel safe. i would not stay or recommend it to anyone.
