Location in the heart of the town. First floor balcony to watch the world go by. Hassle-free late check in (flight was very late) with good communication from the very friendly owner. Easy access, private or by reception as one wished, in and out of the accommodation. Comfortable rooms and very clean throughout. We had a lovely stay.

It could be a little noisy at night on the weekend but only with pleasant sounds of convivial socialising up to about 1am. Quieter on weekdays and it was Easter after all.

This apartment has a fantastic location in the heart of Lucca's old town. Close to everything you want to see and experience. The apartment we stayed in was spacious with windows in two directions. The standard is quite simple and they are reasonably clean. There is also a small kitchen area where you can prepare your own food. However, I think the host can provide coffee and tea considering the price you pay. The service is ok but they don't have staff on site all the time which means you have to call them and it can take time to get your requests fulfilled.

smelly toilets unfortunately - drains were really bad for 1st 2 days. eventually cleaner put disinfection down + it improved slightly

Great location, and once the confusion with the unit was cleared up, it was much better.

We booked this place based on the photos on the booking.com site. When we arrived (which was at 9pm) we were given a unit that was dingy, dark, old, with stained and uncomfortable furniture, low ceilings, and no terrace. It was gross. We left and went to a pizza place outside and messaged the property manager. He finally got back to us and said he would look into it for the next morning. Had to sleep in the gross one overnight… In the morning we were able to check into one that LOOKED like the photos. Rest of the stay was pleasant.

The property was very large. it’s relaxing to have plenty of room.

Ambience and facility as per photos and descriptions. Very spacious , lovely balcony overlooking a small sweet piazza San Giusto. Air con and WI Fi v good. Roberto was very nice, helpful and attentive. Would stay again same apartment " Manon" if visiting Lucca. Loved having own kitchen to have own fresh Italian deli foods and own cooked meals between outside restaurant cafes

Nothing really negative. Some scraping footsteps , some late nights from a private ( not Casa Paolina) apartment above.

Great apartment in really nice place next to Piazza Napoleone. Apartment is located quite close to Lucca railway station (about 7min walk). Host is fantastic and kind person, very helpful and talkative man. Contact was really good also before arrival. I really recommend this apartment when you plan visit in Toscana.

Really nice location, spot in the middle of town. Well fitted with air con which is a real feature in the hot Italian summers. Our dog was welcome, another nice perk.

As in my previous review, the location of this apartment is excellent.......Convenient to all areas of the town. In the middle of a heatwave, the AC was a welcome reprieve. Roberto, the apartment manager was welcoming and helpful.

Just 2 little observations, that wouldn't preclude us from returning......The shower is tiny, even for an average size woman. The sofa is worn/stained.....Needs cleaning, replaced or covered with a slipcover.

Extremely warm in Italy at the time we traveled and air conditioning was not working in one of the bedrooms. They were five of us but only seating for maximum 3 in the living room. There was a concert all three nights it we were there in the piazza right below our window. It was nice to have the entertainment and the music, but difficult when we wanted to sleep early for morning activities.
