Comfortable apartment. Very nice outside area with private pool. About 10 min ride by tuk-tuk to center. Little clean bakery/ restaurant in couple min walk. Functional AC. Great and very nice host that came to pick us up from train station and gave us complimentary laundry service. He helped with all requests we had. Felt safe and comfortable.

Our subjective experience only- Not enough functional sockets. Ants and bugs inside the house (ground floor and the pool). No hooks in the bathroom for towels or clothes. Surely these are minor things that can be fixed in no time.

Liked the pool and the view of the mountains. Hosts were really helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Expected facilities were not there. Like the fan did not work and saw a heater jug in the pic of the apartment at booking.com but had to request the owner for that. Front door lock should be fixed. Access to the apartment from the entrance is a little dangerous as it is slippery. The leaks from the taps could be fixed. Also paid breakfast was mentioned in booking.com but when I checked it was not available. Anyways I liked the hosts and apartment, these comments are just for improvements only.

I am quite a seasoned traveller but I am not a tourist, if that makes any sense. I like to experience the environment in addition to an unfamiliar culture, and get really involved with both. This is my holiday but also so much more. My son and I decided to tour Sri Lanka in Tuk Tuk. I am 60, Josh is 26. We booked a flight with one nights accommodation, with no plan which would involve no expectation and therefore no disappointment. Our second stop was at Danush's place in Kandy. This was an eye opener even for me. His knowledge of his own country and 'actual' places to see rather than the tourist trap thing blew me away. We booked for three nights and stopped for five. His information provided us with a bit more of a plan to experience so much more of this wonderful country. We sat up until the early hours discussing basically 'life' and a few drinks? He was such a wonderful host and we love him dearly, in such a short time? We will not miss him because he is in our hearts forever, and we will definitely keep in touch keeping the thoughts we all shared. Missing is a physical thing. His accommodation is amazing, so are the views and if you want to see a lot of the country from this location, you wouldn't be disappointed. Lone travellers, families, couples or whatever really.
