The location was very great and easy to get there with bus and a nice 15 min walk into town. The room was average but still clean and cozy. Loved the soap in the shower smelt so good. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food at there bar / restaurant was honestly amazing. The views as well - incredible! Great value for your money on the island.

Perfectly located hotel next to several beautiful beach clubs. Exceptionally friendly and warm staff that did their upmost to ensure that we had everything we wanted. Special thanks to Martina, Alessandro, Julio and Francesca for always offering help and guidance with a smile on their face. Delicious breakfast with a wide selection of cheese, sausages, baked goods and fresh produce. The rooms are clean and neat. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

Only positive things to say about the hotel!

the exterior of this hotel is breathtaking - plants, flowers, terraces, and amazing views on the sea and hills, it was really relaxing to watch it from the pool or sunbeds. also it was really refreshing to soak up in the pool in the morning or in the evening after whole day of getting to know Ischia. we had a room at the ground floor so it was kinda cool even in the heat. we had a relaxing patio to read or to have a coffee (free from the coffee machine in the room)

the bathroom has mold on the ceiling and also there were some hair on the tiles in the bathroom from previous guests when we came. also when someone is showering above, the sound of leaking water was loud in our room. also there should be more vegetables for the breakfast.

We had wonderful stay at Don Felipe and would recommend the place for calm and peaceful holidays surronded by beautiful nature and amazing views. The hotel is located around 20 min drive from Ischia Porto and the bus stop is located just outside the building.

The hotel is quiet and the staff very friendly and helpful. The view from the balconies are amazing. The breakfast was very good and the staff can provide you with gluten-free options upon request.

There are stairs to get to the room and reception, which are totally fine, but perhaps not ideal for people with mobility issues.

Me and my husband stayed at Hotel Don Felipe for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We loved the hotel. The view was just stunning. We loved everything about the Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just lovely with a great variety. The room was very clean and our balcony view was the best. Thank you Hotel Don Felipe for making our stay in Ischia just perfect.

All was great. No negatives from us.

Breakfast was a combination of cereals, yogurts and cakes as well as some meats and cheeses and scramble egg. A reasonable variety. I had a lovely balcony with bistro set and a beautiful view of the sea and the sound of birds in the trees. It was a nice, quiet and relaxed stay with friendly staff and a resident cat, who apparently arrived there one day and never left. There was a bus directly opposite the hotel but facilities and tourist spots (such as the medieval Aragonese Castle, linked to Ischia by a stone bridge) were only a short distance away. The hotel staff provided a short cut to the castle. I had a really good time at the Il Giardino restaurant, on Via Nuova Cartoroma (sp), recommended by the hotel staff. Apart from the smashing food, I got involved in an international sing-song with one of the waiting staff (whose outgoing attitude really made the stay) and banter with an Irish party on one table, some Brits and some Americans. Such a great atmosphere. Also, at the hotel's recommendation, I spent the day in one of Ischia's many spas, the Poseidon. Fab, fab, fab. The staff at the hotel really looked after me and I felt that they really cared. One extra bonus was the heated swimming pool.

No tea and coffee making facilities. I really did miss having this. Obviously it depends on the usual clientele of this hotel, but Brits really love a cuppa.

I would have given a rating of 9/10 had it not been for the towels. Many previous reviews have mentioned the towels and I can confirm that they are thin, rough and older than God’s dog. Very disappointing given how easy it would be to fix.

The view was amazing! It is a quiet location, 15-20min away from the castle, if you take the shortcut the receptionist recommended. Speaking of which, very lovely staff, I only have praise words for them. The receptionist guy who checked us in offered us all details and recommendations for the island, stayed longer after he finished his schedule only to make sure we have everything we needed ready for next day (we had some tricky timings to check out when there was no bus service in the area) and so on. Wifi worked well, and we could use it everywhere in the hotel, even outside. We had daily cleaning and amenities replacements, enough storage room and a cute smoking place right on our porch. The pool was cold, so we didn't use it, but it was always clean. Breakfast was more than enough and very friendly staff. We liked it so much we were thinking about another city break there sometimes this summer

The AC screen next to the bed looked like it would really need an update. But the overall room was clean and neat, so it's not really something we didn't like, just something that needs improvement. Also i think it would be nice if they would offer some room sleepers in the amenities - we forgot ours at home and the flooring was very cold.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful. They gave us really good advice to enjoy the island and were always happy to help. The outdoor facilities were beautiful, with an incredible view.

Room flooded one night after colossal rain and thunderstorm. Bit unexpected but we still had a lovely time.

Incredible setting, views, terrace and property. I loved the location too - a short walk to steps that cut through to town. An incredibly quiet and relaxing stay with beautiful sunsets.

The food at the terrace and at breakfast were not great. Breakfast is not worth the 10 Euros, unless you arrive very early - in time to get some of the heartier food. I arrived 35 minutes prior to the cut off time and they were out of nearly everything and wouldn’t replenish.

The view was beautiful and the staff were very friendly.

Apart from the view and a nearby bus stop, the location wasn't great. It was at least a 10 min walk to get lunch or dinner. The beds were so so uncomfortable, very hard and the pillows were awful. Our air conditioning didn't work and the staff said they would fix it but we didn't hear anything further about it.

our room has a fantastic ocean view, we love it! Breakfast is great and all the stuffs are great as well!
