The house was perfect size just what we needed. Great location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hussey House. The location was wonderful - a 2 min walk to on a dead end street that begins the board walk to the beach. The house was perfect for us with kids - had games and sand toys and pingpong. Could use some upkeep as there was a worn and somewhat dated appearance, and the beds were quite soft, but was fine for us. The porch was amazing and we loved hanging out on it.

As per many of the comments of those that stayed before us we had realistic expectations of the property. The property does need a bit of updating and a good deep clean, however, there were many wonderful attributes. First, the property is located close to the beach on Tybee Island. It is an easy 4 minute walk over the boardwalk to the beach. The porch on this house is beautiful and accommodated the whole family for some relaxing swings on the porch swing and place for some great card games. The grill on the porch is also very nice and makes for a great alternative to going out. There was plenty of room to cook and serve food and the whole family (10 of us) could hang out together on the main level or split apart for a bit of quiet time. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space in the bedrooms. Perhaps the best attribute was the communication from the home owner. There had been a power issue in the house the week before. Bill was in constant communication regarding the progress and the power issue was resolved the first day we were at the property. This communication made our whole group feel more comfortable that everything was being done to resolve the problem. Our family greatly enjoyed our vacation and this unique Tybee Island house. The fireworks on New Year's Eve and the Polar Plunge on New Year's Day were great fun. We also really loved the friendly Tybee Island residents and their suggestions of restaurants and things to do.

We loved the house and location! The front porch was awesome to hang out on! The house could use some updates but all and all ..we loved it!! The only problem that we had..our son in law had to park in front of the house on the last day..the rental agreement said we had up to 5 parking spots..he received a parking ticket..he called and explained that we were renting the house ..but the lady was not nice on the phone..we will see what happens from that 🙃

Footsteps away from the beach. House had enough room for the whole group of us and children without being crammed . The house did need some updates , but everything was there that you needed for a large group of 7 adults and 4 children. We actually brought stuff that was already there , like beach chairs ,toys etc.Good experience and would recommend the property to other families wanting to be close to the beach and pier area without being crammed.

The house was charming. Plenty of room for everyone, but the porch/ deck was our particular favorite

This wonderful house was clean and comfortable. So close to the beach! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wonderful places to eat and shop nearby. Quick trip into Savannah! We should have longer!

Giving a 4 star only because on our first night there my sister in law went to use the upstairs shower, slid on the slick floor as she stepped in and broke her arm. Just assuming cleaner wasn't washed out completely. Be cautious!! Other than that we had a great stay. We had plenty of room for all 9 of us. Didn't realize when we made reservations it was the same time as Orange Crush. That event left the town almost impossible to drive in. The location of the house made everything safer and easier. A very short walk to the beach, shops and grocery store. No driving necessary. It was stocked with plenty of games, movies, books and toys for the kids. We all enjoyed the ping pong table. It has all the cookware, utensils and appliances you need. Our favorite night was staying in away from the crowd grilling out, making strawberry and banana smoothies, chilling out on the beautiful big porch. We will choose this house again for our next stay

Very easy and was what it said it would be.

This house is fantastic! Very comfortable beds, plenty of room for our whole family, and everything we needed is provided. The beach is a close walk down the boardwalk at the end of the street. The house comes with beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, and even a beach wagon to pull everything in. The ping pong table was a lot of fun. There are a lot of books and some games to play. The outside porch was one of our favorite spots to hang out with the rocking chairs and porch swing, tables and chairs.

The house was great. The porch was awesome!! Had everything that we needed for our week away. Right down to beach chairs and a wagon to tote them in. We would definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be to have an electronic lock on the down stairs door.

This house was just a few houses away from the beach, and a little walk to the shops, restaurants and peir. The house has a ping pong table, and kitchen had all the pots and pans you could need. The kids loved the bunk room and we spent lots of time on the porches bed swing!

Great location, very roomy, perfect for entertaining. The check in process was easy BRYAN the manager was very courteous. We would stay there again.

We really enjoyed the beach house. A couple small issues: Issues with stove It was a very cool weekend, could not get the heat to go above 65, was cool in the house.

Overall the property is nice, we loved the easy walk to the beach and proximity to shops and downtown Savannah. The house has a somewhat beachy decor. I get the rustic look, but it could use a bit of updating. It smells old and the hot water was almost nonexistent. I contacted the owner because I missed the check-in email, maybe I deleted it IDK. He spoke to me as if he was reprimanding a toddler and as if it was a bother that I messaged him. My msg only required a reply, or just sending the email, not a phone call. I didn't need a recap of the date & time the original email was sent. All I needed was to have it sent again. It was very unnecessary. My family & I enjoyed Tybee island. If we return, we'll probably opt for a different place to lodge.

We all loved staying here! It’s a perfect spot for a low key bachelorette weekend!

The beach was great, the weather was great and there was room for all of us. We stayed at the same house 12 years ago and loved it so we came back. It was still great but needs some upkeep now. we spent soo much time hanging out on that porch with a beer fridge (or water, for you puritans :) ). all said, we had a great time

The Hussey house had many things that we didn't realize we would need which made it so nice! It was a great property to stay at for our family. The game room/ping pong table was perfect for our teenagers. The bedrooms (5) and bathrooms (2.5) gave the perfect amount of privacy for everyone. Plenty of space! The outdoor shower/hose was used so much after the short walk back from the beach. We had 2 small morkies, and they were able to go to the fenced in yard on the side (access from the game room), and they loved being on the porch! The best part about the house was the large porch. We enjoyed the hook game thats on the porch. We tied it up because it was laying on the porch table, but I'm assuming someone got it caught in the fan so be careful for that. Overall, the Hussey house was awesome! Thanks for the memorable stay!

TY Hussey House for THE most amazing vacation. Quiet street with just a short walk to an uncrowded beach. We found it easy enough to walk to the pier and shops. The wagon for the beach and pop up tent were great to have. Beds were very comfortable. Living room and outside deck were great to hangout on for the 7 of us. Plenty of kitchen ware to cook our daily big breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for our Girl Scout trip to Savannah! Plenty of beds, good amount of common space to hang out, lots of supplies (beach towels, kitchen ware, paper goods, etc) and just enough bathrooms for us. We loved how close it was to the beach, too. The owner was easy to contact and always responded promptly.

Had a wonderful stay at the Hussey House! It is a short walk to the beach and close to a lot of amenities. My family enjoyed the large shaded porch, spent a lot of time there with my grandson :)

Seven old frends desided to get together in Tybee Island. We chose Hussey House so each would have their own bed. We truly enjoyed the accommodations. It was clean and well equipment, the best part was the large porch where we could enjoy conversation and our favorite brew. I was surprised by the available beach gear, there is a beach wagon, buckets, shovels and umbrellas. There was everything you could want for making delicious meals indoors or out. An outdoor refrigerator, three burner Weber grill, a boiler / steamer and all the utensil you need. In the kitchen is another refrigerator, oven, microwave, dish washer and an ice maker. The ice maker was a nice touch, no need to get baged ice for your beverage while site seeing. The house is older and close to the beach so it shows some wear. A five stare hotel it's not but a clean, comfortable beach house it is.

The house has an old school wonderful Tybee cottage feel. The porch is AMAZING! We all agreed the house has an awesome vibe. So close to the beach and a great vacation home! Thanks :)

The property was in a great location and had everything you would need for the week plus some. The home was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

First time on Tybee Island for Spring Break. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Quiet, yet close walk to everything. No need to rent a golf cart. Definitely bring a bike..perfect for riding on the beach. We loved the large porch and porch swing as did our dogs.
