We really enjoyed staying here. It's a quick walk to the beach, very spacious and has a charming rustic feel. Our only complaint is that the beds were very hard. My sister has back problems and the mattress took a heavy toll on her. Maybe bring a mattress topper if you are sensitive to hard beds.

We loved the house. Plenty of room, lots of character. Only reason 4 stars was because as a fireman, I noticed the slight water condensation in downstairs bathroom was very close to rlectrical. Also as a family member is a lawyer…we loved the quirky stairs up to the house..but it should be stated in the listing that this house is not conducive to elderly or those with walking issues. Stone steps could be dangerous especially at night with no lighting and step down into family room caused a few trips . In all honesty just those things should be addressed, otherwise this home was fantastic and we’d stay again.

Pizza left in the oven from previous guest, mold in shower, unwashed blankets. The listing didnt mention a washing machine which is a bummer. It has the space for 10+ people including children, after a week of ocean exploring youre going to need to wash stuff eventually. Location is wonderful, checkin process is great but all that is marred by an unkept house.

If you just want to get away from it all this is the place! Literally across the street from public beach access. Lots of great beaches nearby to explore. Tillamook Ice Cream Experience is a must! Catch a hike or go for a drive.

We loved nothing, Ants destroyed our happiness, no heat, because the heater didn't work, froze our hearts, and the properties over all maintenance lacking, completely neglected in some areas.

We had a good stay. Cute beach house. Close walk to the beach and shops. Would have been nice to have 2 full bathrooms.

We loved the whole experience. My elderly parents owned this home in the late 90s early 2000s and we have so many memories attached to this house. Family came in and we enjoyed being together at this house. We had some needs during our time and we were treated with great communication and speedy response for the things we needed.

The pictures + saying oceanview in the listing make it seem like you’re right in the beach but there is a dingy motel right in front of the house. All the floors are creaky, the water is brown and smelly. All of which I could get over if it was actually on the water/beach but it’s not

Big open living room/and Great room. Always hot water
1.0
Listed as 2 bathrooms really it’s 2 toilets and one tiny shower room under the stairs. Bring your own cooking stuff. Dirty dishes and utensils had to clean it all before using. 51 degrees downstairs turned the heat up and the upstairs stayed at about 62 with the downstairs 72. Beds were rickety and uncomfortable. The blind in the bathroom would not go down or shut and literally fell apart when I tried to close it to use the toilet and then remained open to the neighbors windows the rest of the time there. If your elderly or handicapped do t even consider getting in to the house because the steps from the parking spots are rock that’s unstable and falling apart with no lights. We had to use our phone lights to get in. Even after it was light out it you had to be very careful to go up and down the steps. Hot tub was empty. Was listed as one of the cheaper places until you go to pay and the price more than doubles with all the extra fees. Will never go here again and if you are looking for a decent place to stay I would stay away!!!

Excellent access to the beach

This house was perfectly located across a street to the beach. Be careful though because the path both to the stairs and to the house are not safe.

The location to the beach was awesome. However the flea illness was 1 star. Dog hair everywhere! It was so gross. There was trash left over outside by front door from previous renters and every night something got into the trash and trash was spread all over the area.

Home had plenty of rooms and beds for our family to get together. Comfortable. The beach is right out the front door

This property is an excellent choice. It's close to the beach and within walking distance to town. There is a Dollar General store just across Hwy 101 for things you forgot. It's large enough so you are not crowded and has excellent amenities. A real beach house.

Our family loved this adorable home for our summer vacation. Plenty of room for us all to spread out and have a great time. Perfect location, just across the street from beach access. Kitchen was well stocked for us to cook meals and plenty of linens for all the beds and couch lounging. Beds listed as queen are technically not true queens so we used air mattresses for the couples to have ample sleeping space but the house was so great that it made up for the tiny inconvenience.

Excellent location, very spacious. Great for our family. Not recommended for anyone in a wheelchair or that may have any physical complications.

It was a nice old house. Beach was very close and access was great. There is an ant issue in the kitchen. I think if the grout was touched up, it would fix that. There were plenty of clean towels for everyone. Comfy & homey feel, would definitely stay here again.

The house is comfortable and clean. The listing needs to include where to park though

Rockaway hideaway
The only problem we had was connecting to the Wi-Fi. Finally the property manager young man came the next day. It took him quite awhile and it was determined the link and password were not right.
There is some roof leak in dining area and a window leak when it rains hard. I just put a washcloth on the sill.
Overall there was ample room for the 7 of us. The kitchen is quite large. It is an old house but has its own charm. Beware of the steep uneven steps leading up to the house! Not good for anyone with a physical disability.

Wonderful Stay!!!
The house was bigger than I thought it would be, the kitchen was a great size, we had 9 in our group and Thanksgiving went perfectly! I loved that there were 2 ovens! Thank you for a great vacation!

Nice home with plenty of room. 2 minute walk to the beach and close to everything.

Great disappointment, way over-priced, deceitful with listing, and extremely poor communication
The Oregon Coast is an annual family favorite we’ve been venturing to for many years now and always look for a new place to stay. Booked this place late March so I was not “enlightened” by the most recent reviews of the home.
Got there late Wednesday night and welcomed by no parking signs in the front, how odd! Parked there anyways. Vacasa doesn’t release booking information regarding the home early, they release it the day of, you know on your way to your vacation home. That was a little frustrating. Parked and got ready to unload. The steep uneven rocky steps to the home are unlit, so bring a flashlight if you arrive late. The living room with multiple dark stained carpet welcomed us. No welcome book with the house or rental agency anywhere to be found, didn’t even know when garbage day was. Every other home we have stayed at over the years has a welcome book along with a guest book, guess this home/owner isn’t the welcoming type. Get all unpacked and get all the kiddos settled in and got woken up early in the morning the yard care taker arrives extremely loud whacking bushes/weeds all before 9 in the morning and mind you we have 4 kiddos. Another welcoming moment.
I looked and looked for the 1 bath throughout the home and never found it. There exists a “closet” shower that had no ventilation and the window does not open. Contacted the rental agency and a maintenance person was supposed to come and fix or look at it, nothing.
Oh this home is NOT for extended-stay families. The manager/owner does not allow for anyone to use their washer & dryer. So don’t rent this home if you believe they will change their minds on this. I contacted Vacasa prior to arrival about the washer/dryer situation and they stated they would get back to me as they knew there was a washer/dryer on site. I asked to used it multiple times, the answer was, no, it’s not listed as an amenity. It’s not included in an 8 night stay for $$$$, yip, these people are that stingy.
There is only a “closet” shower separate from the toilet/sink bathroom next door downstairs and upstairs there is a toilet/sink bathroom. This is not a comfortable setting for a large group, as there isn’t much privacy.
The beds are all squeaky, so don’t turn in the night, your neighbor will hear ya. Apparently, the most “comfortable” bed is the back bedroom.
The yard needs help and there is a dirty unused hot tub just sitting under the outside deck. There is no outside seating...

Rockaway Breeze Beach House ... Could have been a 4 Star:
Opening front door, smiled at Beach House’s 1940’s wood paneled living room – a very comfortable vibe. Passed through side entrance’s hall and 2nd floor stairwell, to large kitchen (BonaVita drip coffee maker provided; round filters) to updated Rec-Room which includes a 46” plus Roku TV (w/HMDI & USB ports). Side door from Rec-Room opens to a neglected, unmaintained side yard. We made the house work, enjoying 4 days in Rockaway area and yes, short walk leads to beach access with views of Twin Rocks. However, website description needs to be more specific and virtual tour improved: House does not have 1 ½ baths, rather two, ½ half baths (~4 ft sq; one down and one at top of stairs), and a unique shower closet built under stairs at end of downstairs hall (~2 ft sq; works well) … if taller than 6’ watch your head going down the stairs (2nd floor stairwell railing ~ 2 ft high) … do hope 2 of the 4 stove electric burners get fixed … all bedrooms are upstairs … carpet needs to be replaced, so don’t worry about spilling. Agility is important, as you’ll have to climb 14 uneven, curving rock steps from Pacific St parking to front door; railings are covered in vines. Recommend using backyard narrow stairs … N.Miller St leads to backyard parking. If arriving after sunset, bring flashlights. We’d consider staying again as once you know what to expect, unique house is useable … yet, outside step & yard areas would need to be maintained and house fully cleaned.

Important Information Missing From Listing
This house is okay. You can tell it's old from the photos which my group was expecting. The place was clean, especially the bathrooms, which was nice and appreciated. My group was disappointed by a number of things, which I'll list below. The most important thing I want to communicate is that the listing does not describe the entrance to the house. You park below the house and enter by walking up a narrow staircase of uneven rock steps that are not lit at night. I'm not sure it would be suitable for all groups. We came late on a rainy night and it was difficult for us to bring up our bags and coolers in the dark. It would have been difficult even if it was lit. Other things that disappointed us for you to consider: 1)It's a house for dogs but the yard is not securely or fully fenced. 2) The property owner did not communicate with us for the duration of the trip. We contacted the owner the night we arrived because a side door had been left wide open. We heard nothing. We contacted the owner again because a burner was out on the stovetop and again heard nothing. I much prefer when the property manager or owner is communicative and available. 3)The kitchen was lacking in items I feel like are pretty standard for homes I've rented on VRBO. Items such as foil, plastic wrap, olive and/or canola oil, kitchen tongs, brownie pan.
If you group is not fussy, can handle a clean but old place, and are physically healthy, then this place will still work for your group.

Lots of space and very close to the beach
This house was a great space, plenty of room for 2 people to work separately and to spread out and relax. Short walk to beach access and a bit of a view between buildings. The beds were super firm which is not my preference and there was a bit of noise due to construction on a near by house but overall would rent again

Nice house.
The house was roomy and well maintained. Beds and couches were quite comfy.
There was only a peek-a-boo view from one of the bedrooms but the beach access is only a block away. Great location.

Convenient and Spacious
This home is just a few quick steps to the beach, which makes visiting the ocean with small children much easier to do. The home is quiet and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to cook, do separate activities, or play games.
If you bring small kids, know it does have lots of small decorative objects that may need to be placed out of reach, and there is only a shower, no bathtub. The yard needs some work to be able to play in it safely, so don't plan on that as an outdoor hangout space.
Overall, we had a good time here and appreciated the ease with which we could walk to the beach and back.

relaxing
The trip was relaxing. We booked the house for 2 nights for my husbands birthday. House was at perfect location, walking distance to the beach and stores. House had some charms. Good size kitchen, 2 huge living rooms and lot of space to sleep. Only issues were, the grill was very dirty and we couldn't grill as we planned. The grill is outside in a shed and with rain and cold it was not even worth it. The stove vent was not working. Yard needs some landscaping. Otherwise will love to return.

rustic rooms with sound of surf
This is a now spacious home that, when built, was a cozy wood-paneled cabin with fireplace. That means there are some unusual and clever elements - like the shower being under the stairway and small bathrooms that you wouldn't find in a newer building. The kitchen is very big with two ovens and a fair number of appliances and kitchen tools. The TV room in the back is very comfortable and a great hang out place for kids. We had the wood paneled living room as the quiet area for reading and the back of the house for games, TV and snacks which meant everyone had their own space. The house is literally steps from the beach and you can see the water around the large condos that face the beach. It is a great deal for the price. Great aspects: plenty of bath towels, blankets, fast internet, good TV options. Things we missed: being able to use the fireplace, a griddle for pancakes, a coffee grinder, access to washer-dryer.
