Noisy doors when woken up at 3.45am by others staying there (only 3 rooms) in & out for about an hour slamming doors...

Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and tasty. Little can be done about the location. Although Twyford is a pretty village the road that runs through it is a busy one.

Only a small thing but with only a waterfall shower it would be helpful to supply a shower cap

It was very pleasant my family live in Twyford so we know the Bugle well. I was most amused to see an example of my art work framed and hanging above the bed in my bedroom !!!!!!

The stairs outside in the dark and the rain seemed a bit daunting. I had help with my bag and the stairs on arrival and it would have been helpful to have had the same help on my departure.

When we arrived the staff were very friendly, our room was lovely and clean. We ate our evening meal in the packed restaurant, the food was delicious and tasty. We also had a fabulous breakfast there aswell and the service was very attentive. The whole place has a lovely warm, cosy feel, helped by the log fire and fairy lights. We were glad we had chosen to stay the 2 nights here for our visit to winchester Christmas markets, and would definitely return when in the area.

The room we stayed in was overlooking the back and over the kitchen so it was quite noisy ,late evening then very early morning. The temperature was freezing at night so could have done with a thicker duvet or blanket, glad I took my hot water bottle😁

I stayed in a rear facing room. Suspect the rooms facing the road might be a bit noisey.

Even though the restaurant was packed and lively, we could not hear anything in our room, resulting in a restful night after a long and tiring day. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and plentiful.

Friendly welcome, great atmosphere in the pub and delicious breakfast. The room was really comfortable and relaxing. It was clean and quiet.

More vegan options on the menu, although they more than adequately accommodated for us when we asked.

From the minute we arrived (during what looked like a busy restaurant service) we were made to feel extremely welcome. They had upgraded our room, which was extremely comfortable, immaculately clean and quiet. Superb facilities, everything you could need. The location is stunning just a 3.5 scenic walk into Winchester. The breakfast the next morning was brought to the room and was absolutely EPIC.

The Bugle is a very comfortable country inn with modern, clean and homely atmosphere. The rooms are well appointed, modern with expeccted facilities and very comfortable beds. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient.

The rooms would have benefited from a few more pictures and ornaments to make them feel more homely. The granola for breakfast was a big disaapointment for my wife as it was really muesli.

Delicious dinner from a small but interesting menu; an excellent breakfast for both small and large appetites; and all terrific value for money. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with excellent toiletries provided (eco-friendly too). The location is ideal for a couple who enjoy sailing (Southampton), walking (Hampshire!!) and history tours (Winchester). The staff were very friendly and helpful

Everything was perfect. The room was spacious and spotless. The location was ideal and not far from Southampton. The restaurant was great and the food was 5 star. We had a fabulous, hearty breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.
