The property has been renovated to a very high standard and really is very “cosy” and comfortable indeed. The location is excellent and literally a five minute stroll to the busy harbour front where you can pick up a gorgeous meal from the local deli and cafe or sit inside and enjoy a meal at The Ship Inn. For a real treat, enjoy a drink in the stunning garden of The Old Coastguard which backs on to the rocky beach to the side of the harbour where, surrounded by palm trees, we had to remind ourselves that we were still in the UK!! There is a small shop on the harbour front too but for a bigger shop, a Co op at Newlyn a couple of miles away is perfect or Penzance itself offers all the big name supermarkets. As regards parking for the cottage, even though it was August we easily parked up each night on the harbour front for £3 (24hrs) but try and avoid the top car park at the entrance to Mousehole as it is very expensive. The owners and the locals are all very welcoming and happy to help or offer advice. We were able to walk from the cottage straight on to the coastal path routes and therefore not take the car out every day. However, don’t miss a day out at The Lizard or Porthcurno Beach! A beautiful set up in a beautiful place.

We had the most wonderful week but the only improvement I would possibly make to the cottage would be to the outdoor space which although very useful as a seating area to have a coffee or meal, needed some attention to the paving slabs which were uneven and possibly a clear distinction made between the neighbours area and the cottage itself with plant pots to define a border.
