This place is heaven. Amazing location and views. So relaxing. The pool is perfect. What makes this place even more special is the team. If you’re lucky enough you’ll get looked after by Jose who is honestly a very special human being. He has helped us over the 10 days we stayed there with everything - tours, transport, recommendations, etc. The best thing about it is that he enjoys looking after people and he’s very genuine. Hospitality at its best. His colleague which I forgot his name (he used to live in Atlanta) is also a super hands on amazing guy. Them two have made our stay 10000 times better and I’ll honestly go back just because they work there. Thank you guys, you made it special

I think the food could be better. Breakfast is fantastic, the rest is just ok. To be honest that was a good thing as it got us to move around a bit and look for food places, otherwise we wouldn’t have ever left.

The location was fantastic! Personally we felt that we stayed at the perfect hotel on mazunte since it’s at the end and most people gathered on the other side. Waking up to the beach was lovely! Room was clean and close distance to the town.

I’d suggest purchasing luxury towels and nicer pool loungers.

Food so-so. Manager seemed annoyed at our being there but then warmed up. Probably not a people person…but then why work in hospitality?

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (not the orange juice!). Loved the swimming pool. The view and location are excellent. The room is comfortable.

Sorry to say the hotel's restaurant food (after breakfast) was the worst I ever had. The cook in the kitchen didn't seem to have a clue. We stayed for 8 nights but it didn't get any better. I got sick when we first arrived and I believe it was from their fish tiritas in lime juice. Our New Year's eve dinner was horrible and a complete disaster. I could't eat it and went to sleep hungry. I don't recommend their restaurant. Another negative is the hostel right next to the hotel. People hang out all day playing loud electronic music using a drum machine and synthesizer. Sometimes it sounded like they were rehearsing a band. The manager said there is nothing they can do about it. It's a real shame because it drowns out the sound of the ocean.

It’s beautiful, right on the beach front. Rooms are large and lovely inside. amazing views to wake up to in the morning. Great to step out of your room and into the pool (pool is very nice and bigger than it looks in the photos). Bar staff are friendly.

There could be more of a vibe in the day time around the pool (eg some music, a guests happy hour) and in the restaurant area of an evening.

It would be hard to think of a more stunning location than Casa Lu's, right on the beach surrounded by palm trees. It's a very stylish hotel and the perfect place to relax and just do nothing. Mazunte town is a short stroll down the beach with lots of laid back restaurants and bars. Casa Lu has a lovely pool overlooking the ocean which is perfect as the sea in Mazunte can be a little too rough to swim in. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Indira in the bar!

This is not really the hotel's fault as it is surrounded by jungle and is on the beach, but our room did have a bit of a problem with giant ants! Worth being aware of if you don't like creepy crawlies.

The restaurant food was just ok and inconsistent. Could not get the TV to work because it could not connect with wifi and staff did not know how to fix it. Housekeeping didn’t leave enough towels nor replenish the hair/body wash products. I had to call for more.
