Nous avons extrêmement apprécié notre séjour, tout était parfait de l’accueil à la chambre, aux repas, la vue.. il n’y a pas de mot c’était juste parfait !

The location, the pool, the view, the room confort.
No soap in the bathroom.
Absolutly nothing to eat between food time. No snacks available.
The diner is a bit expensive.

The view from the hotel is fantastic and we enjoyed dinner watching the sunset on the horizon. The food was ok, service good and swimming pool good although a bush needs cutting back that partially blocks the view from the pool.
The bed was very very hard, which is a bit niche. When charged five star prices I expect a good night's sleep and unfortunately didn't get one.

Nice Place to relax and enjoy the nature and not too far from Fes city.

Four days of escape from the cold Dutch climate.
We are very pleased with Dar El Mandar.
First of all, the place is breathtaking! The view is beautiful, it is very luxurious and has nice lounge seating.
If you do not master the French or Arabic language this is not a problem. There works a young lady named Wafoj. She studied English at the University and is therefore the perfect addition to the team. In addition, she and the rest of the crew are very hospitable.
It is handy to have enough money at the airport to withdraw money because there is no bank machine nearby. And transferring money is difficult.
We were just a little short but this was not a problem and a sweet gift from them.
It’s necessary to get some cash from the aiport to pay for the accommodation and for extra dinner and/or lunch.

Beautiful spot, great facilities, great staff!
The price of dinner, very expensive compared to anywhere else we stayed while in Morocco.

Dar el Mandar is a true oasis of tranquility and hospitality nestled away into a mountain side with a stunning view of Fez and the surrounding plains. The property is designed with great attention to detail - minimalism paired with traditional Moroccon style. It is elegant and luxurious, but down to earth at the same time. We spent 2 nights here to enjoy a full-day break of relaxation, sandwiched into an otherwise pretty packed itinerary of exploring Morocco. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Dar el Mandar was the perfect place to find some peace and quiet, and to recharge our batteries before diving back into the bustle of Fez. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the staff was extremely attentive and they served excellent food as well. If we ever come back to Morocco we will make sure to spend a few nights here, Inshallah :)

The location, food and ambiance are absolutely stunning. Though remote after a couple of minutes by dirt road you will find an oasis of tranquility with a pool infinitely looking towards Fez.
Amazing view, amaxing food, beautifully decorated rooms and surroundings, best food we had in Morrocco

Extremely friendly staff, and very helpful. A particularly comfortable and stylish property with substantial breakfasts and wonderful evening meals on the covered terrace. Relaxing!! Lovely pool and grounds - range of seating areas plus the delights of the Berber tent. We’d definitely return and bring some friends, and recommend to others. Many thanks once again to Alaa and Hamsa (with apologies if my spelling is incorrect!)
Our only concern was the taxi transfer arranged for us - no seat belts (unlike the other transfers later in the week) and driver using phone which wasn’t hands free. However, we did get to Sefrou and back safely (!) and we’d recommend a visit on a Thursday for the market.

Beautiful setting in the countryside. Good place to relax away from hustle and bustle of Fes. Delicious freshly cooked meals. Common area with games and swimming pool is very nice. There are some farm animals too. Comfortable bedroom. Lovely helpful staff
Note: don't forget to bring cash to make payments. No cards
-we really appreciate that the owner wants to support local families and promote more sustainable tourism. This meant that staff could not speak English at all, only French. We missed having good conversations with them which we generally like when we travel to different countries. It helps us connect better.
-the whole setting is about enjoying the peaceful surroundings and disconnecting from outside world. But if you need to use internet for anything important then you need to do in the restaurant section because the WiFi does not reach the rooms

location and the whole setting of the accommodation. Although some reviews state that the access road is bad or even dangerous (?!): nothing of the sort. It’s a simple gravel access road and the location can be reached by car.
Staff is super-friendly and the food is great.
Only a few hick-ups with the hot water. It was cloudy weather so probably the solar boiler didn’t perform that well.
But that’s a minor detail given the brilliant setting.

Fantastic food and pool. Very relaxed with super friendly and helpful staff. A few animals to go and see with kid. They had some toys etc to use.
(need to pay with cash FYI). Totally worth the trip. So beautiful. Easy drive from/to Fes if you have your own car.
A few minor things are a bit rough round the edges, ie a couple of handles in the room were a bit broken. It's totally worth the trip.

nice view and quite place to relax
No WIFI, we went in Ramadan, they took extra money for iftar (200 MAD per person) but the food amount is low and only vegetarian food was served ( no meat at all)
road to reach the hotel is dangerous and risky

We loved absolutely everything. The view is amazing , the place is very quiet and relaxing. The staff is very attentive but discreet so we felt as we were the only ones on the farm. Don’t think twice - just book if you want to get away from hustle and bustle of Fes .

We loved everything. The staff was wonderful, the owner welcomed us like we were family. The nature around the ferme is outstanding. The food delicious. We loved the traditional fresh bread right out from the over and the local olive oil tasting. We loved the lunch under the terrace in the garden. We loved the music that was playing at the poolside. We loved the dinner by the fireplace. And loved the stargazing on the traditional Moroccan pouches outside. Our daughter also loved the donkey ride! Would definitely recommend!
In one room the bathroom is halfopen in the back part of the bedroom. I think it would be better to have it separated by a wall :).
