El personal fue muy amable y atento, y la ubicación es buena. por el resto una estafa.

Es una estafa. Las fotos no corresponden a la realidad para nada. Está sucio, feo y en abandono. La pintura de las paredes se desprende; las papeleras están sucias y llenas de moho. Las almohadas huelen mal. Las cortinas y las ventanas no se han lavado en siglos. Para tener agua caliente hay que pedir al personal que prendan el calentador. Nos cancelaron la reservación en booking pero nos cobraron más en efectivo; más de 4000 pesos para dos habitaciones por dos noches. Un precio absolutamente exagerado.

Price was very cheap, due to an issue with the booking the staff upgraded us to 2 rooms for the same price.

Absolutely nothing

The photos are not nearly true to what the hotel looks like. They are all false. The hotel was in terrible condition with roaches in the room, stained pillowcases, dusty curtains, mold around the sink and dirty walls in the hallway. As soon as I arrived I killed a roach in my room and told the front desk that my room was not cleaned because there was hair on the bed and the pillowcases had yellow stains on them. I asked for a room change and was told no rooms were available for the holiday weekend. I immediately left to find another hotel but they were all booked up. It was evident that the room had not been properly cleaned and the hotel had not been properly maintained for a long time. The elevators didn't work, there was no wifi and the windows had white stains on them. The view from my window was a dumpsite of trash and broken toilets. Even the staff members agreed with me on the poor conditions of the hotel. I had to cut my trip short because I could not stay there. It was the nastiest hotel I have ever seen in my life. The conditions were unhygienic, and they are dishonest. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay at this hotel to look elsewhere for accommodations.

I was expecting the internet to be bad, but it worked well most of the time even in my room on the first floor. The room itself was spacious, neat and clean with a double bed, air-con, TV and en-suite bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. One of them spoke excellent English and in the morning showed me where the colectivos depart from to El Tajin. Everyone I spoke to earlier in the city denied there was a colectivo service to El Tajin, but it`s not true! The "station" is just hidden in an alley behind the Town Hall.

The bathroom was a bit worn and there was no hot water, but it is a cheap hotel plus the weather is hot in Papantla so I didn`t have an issue with this.

They charge me twice. I was charged to my CC in booking and the receptionist charge in cash on my arrival. The owner message me back that they were not able trace payments besides the one on my CC. Disloyal property. I DON'T RECOMMEND IT.

Good cheap place to stay for visiting Tajin. Supermarkets nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not many restaurants nearby, mostly street food. Aircon not working, but luckily we didn't need it. WiFi very weak on second floor. Hotel a little rundown, especially on the stairs and common areas.

Fantastic location close to the Zocalo and a 5-minute walk from the ADO bus station. Clean, bright and comfortable bedroom with en-suite. The staff were fantastic - incredibly helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

The room was very hot (although there was an air con unit) and there was no wi-fi in the room.

Staff named Rafa was very helpful in solving all the issues I encountered at the hotel. He tried his best given all problems the hotel had.

1. There was no hot water for shower. I believe this has been flagged by other users in previous reviews but they never fixed the issue. 2. There was no wifi in the room even if it says in its posting there is free wifi. Apparently, wifi works only in the lobby. Very misleading posting. Should change posting description to reflect this. Previously flagged by other reviews but never resolved. Hotel should solve this issue or change posting description to say wifi works only in the lobby. Truly unacceptable 3. Headboard of bed was broken and was only held up by the mattress 4, Toilet did not flush. I had to go to lobby to check and Rafa said he will turn water on. 5. The hotel will probably send a standard reply about being sorry for the inconveniene.. However, those will be empty words if the hotel does not tak3 concrete action and address all the issues that I and previous clients have flagged (i.e.no wifi, no hot water for shower)

The location was convenient-2 blocks from the main plaza.The room was large and serviced daily.Taxis were available at the front door.

There was a very bad smell from the bedroom.The bathroom wasn't clean either with a strong smell of urine from the shower cubicle.The room and the ensuite really need to be given a proper cleaning...Sleep quality was very poor on my final night.

We didnot ha e hot water for the bathroom. And the mini split didnot work properly

On arrival the room that we booked was not available however a room was found within 30 minutes. The room was very dusty and the shower was lukewarm. The air conditioning was effective but a little loud. We had a reasonable nights rest.

The hotel does not accept cards - only cash. This is despite the information on booking.com. When I complained, they said that the information on booking.com has not been updated in a while!!!! The first room we were given was filthy with a broken bed We moved to a bigger, better room but the shower was very dirty There was a lot of noise until early in the morning coming from other rooms Almost no amenities

WiFi only available in the lobby

Good location just below the cathedral and Benito Juarez mercado. Staff were also friendly, fortunately, given the worn, shabby state of the hotel. Internet is strong only in the lobby, where seating on hard wooden benches is possible.

The hotel is dismal, in desperate need of paint both in the hallway and bedroom, and removal of mold around the bathroom sink. The toilet had not been properly cleaned, nor was there a toilet brush. The large water bottle for guests was empty during the course of my stay.

Spacious light room, comfortable bed, central location, cleanness, silent AC

The windows were to the street were taxi drivers made much noise and the noise isolation was very poor. The WiFi signal was rather weak and the connection was being lost constantly.
