location and síze of apartment

the sofa beds one was broken and the other 2 the couches were impossible…. and the day of the check in we were told how to get to the apartment inside the building and there was a stair without notice when we rented.

there was no staff to assist,I am yet to receive my deposit

Spacious apartment in good location.

The apartment was clean on arrival, but still feels kind of dirty. Previous guests have probably been smoking inside and a ”deeper” cleaning is needed. Sheets smelled of smoke + various burnmarks in apartment. Very uncomfortable sofa beds with dirty mattresses (see attached photo). Mousetrap in starewell. Loud party next door until 11pm-00:00am during our first night. During our stay, we moved one of the sofa tables in order to open the sofa beds. The table top, which was made out of some light plastic material, broke very easily. I informed Checkmyguest about this accident a few days after our departure. Checkmyguest told me, twice, that my deposit of EUR 1 000 had been released, but it never was. Three weeks later, I called the host. I was then informed that my whole deposit had been taken due to the broken sofa table and I was also accused of having broken one of the sofa beds. I had got no information about this, nor was I given any possibility to explain myself. Checkmyguest sent me a 25-sec-video of the sofa bed as ”proof” of the damage, though its not even possible to see what is broken. Checkmyguest also claimed that the table top of the sofa table was made out of marble, though it was clearly made out of plastic (please see plastic threads in the crack on attached photo). When I started to ask questions about the deposit, Checkmyguest stopped answering my e-mails. After more than two months, I have now given up the fight of getting my EUR 1 000 back.
