We enjoyed our stay, nice boating and fishing.

The cottage is nice and well-stocked. Outside ground is well-maintained. Bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. The owners were friendly and quick to respond to our questions. The downside we found is that it needs a bit more TLC as far as cleanliness, for ex the windows, sills and doors inside and out. The kitchen shelving was dusty, and cobwebs found on fixtures and walls.

The Boat house was the perfect choice for a family vacation. The house is beautiful. So much fun Paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing were all excellent. We traveled with our dogs who give it 10/10 paws up. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind

The Boat House was perfect for our long weekend getaway. The hosts are so friendly and professional, they made the stay very easy.
The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, the view of the bay from the living room is so peaceful.
We couldn't asked for anything more!

Back for a second time at the delightful Boathouse. Lisa and Glen are so welcoming. Everything was perfect - especially the air conditioning which kept us comfortable as the heat dome settled in. A+++

First off, the owners; Lisa and Glen are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. We absolutely enjoyed our mini vacation in their gorgeous Boathouse. It had everything we needed and more. The view is awesome and so relaxing. We loved sitting by the fire with our sons and playing charades like we did when they were little :)
We will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Absolutely beautiful location right on the lake. House was very clean and felt right at home. Was fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved swimming and kayaking on the lake. Exploring the nearby attractions and just relaxing. Lisa & Glen were wonderful hosts, extremely pleasant and responsive. Definitely had a super relaxing stay.

This holiday house was such a find with its elevated living overlooking the lake and easy access into the water from the small beachfront or jetty. This place was 'home from home' with a generous welcome pack and well stocked pantry that showed care and consideration for guests. Bedroom space was perfect for us with teen kids and really loved the open plan living space and picture window views. Definitely recommend staying here.

The boathouse was a perfect location to bring our 20 ft open bow boat. It fit perfectly in the boat slip with the outboard tilted up a bit. Very well protected from the swells of a nasty west wind one day. Probably a bit shallow for an I/O boat. Easy boat ramp 2 doors down. Glenn and Lisa were FABULOUS hosts. Was an easy 45 min to Kingston and Gananoque. Super peaceful and relaxing. Had everything we needed. Would book again in a heartbeat

Pictures are a perfect representation, and the views are stunning from inside and outside overlooking Hay Bay.

Our party of 3 seniors and 2 small pups were delighted with Lisa’s and Glen’s Boathouse. Not only were our hosts so welcoming and helpful - never had we enjoyed such a super variety of snacks and wine as we did here! - but made booking and check-in seamless, and were immediate in addressing any further needs, questions, etc. And they were so very good with our vivacious pups, who raced and roamed their expansive grounds. The Boathouse is beautifully updated and decorated, with spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen with many condiments and supplies, plenty of seating for relaxing both in- and outside (lovely loungers by the water!). We explored Napanee, and enjoyed great fare at Santorini’s Greek Restaurant (A-1 service) and Napanee Fish & Chips (diner-style serving non-fish meals as well). About an hour away is Lake on the Mountain, near Picton, where there’s a restaurant with picturesque views of both the Lake and the waters of Lake Ontario far below. Oh…the meals are scrumptious! Thank you Lisa and Glen for wonderful memories to end our Maritime-focussed holiday 2022!

All the special touches..linens, cleanliness, gift basket, well stocked kitchen and so much more! The boat house sits right over the water which provides such a beautiful calming view. The boat house was perfect. Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, soft bed linens, all sorts of toiletries and kitchen supplies. The waterfront was equipped with sun umbrellas and loungers and we loved kayaking. Lisa & Glen are great hosts and they do such a good job maintaining and adding to the property …always with their guests top of mind. You won’t be disappointed staying at the boathouse.

Wonderful Getaway

Wonderful Vacation

It was peaceful, private and on the water’s edge atop an unused boathouse. Many birds inland and on water. Very relaxing, dedicated hosts, clean and well decorated cottage.

Calm, peaceful
We were there at the start of winter. It was extremely calm and away from it all. It would be even better in summer, I think, as the bay looked perfect for kayaking. Anyway, we'd go again.

Glen and Lisa provided our family a wonderful stay for an extended weekend. The boathouse is clean and beautiful with a breathtaking view. And every last detail you can imagine was covered to make the experience extra special - including a thoughtful, generous welcome package with lots of treats. Girls Getaway - Three old friends reconnect and rejuvenate on the water
This property is exactly as it appears in the photos and description. My two female friends of over 45 years and I always plan a yearly extended weekend getaway to explore a new area in Canada. We settled this year on the Napanee Boathouse. Our hosts were amazing. They communicated promptly to answer our questions prior to our visit and with their dog Moose, were there to personally welcome us when we arrived. The boathouse is well appointed with all the kitchen stuff you need, comfy throw blankets to cuddle under while watching TV or sitting on the deck with a coffee in October, and high end furnishings. The beds were comfortable, and bedding and towels were luxurious. They thoughtfully provided a binder of ideas on things to do in the area and welcomed us with a lovely personal card and tub of yummy treats like chips, chocolate, local wine, candy, and popcorn. Kinda like our late night mini-bar, but without all the surcharges.
While in the area, we took advantage of the Extended Kingston Penitentiary Tour, and this was extremely engaging even for non-history buffs. One night, we enjoyed a gourmet dinner and acoustic music on the patio at the Waterfront River Pub and Terrace in Napanee - I would highly recommend this excellent restaurant. The ambience was incredible, and to enjoy a lovely warm evening in mid-October on a patio by a river with twinkling lights in the trees and waterfall sounds nearby was an incredible treat. We also enjoyed a day of shopping on the main street in nearby Picton. This town is filled with many boutiques featuring local artisans and it is a lovely walk to explore their unique offerings. The rain held off for us at every stop, even though the forecast was not good - so we felt truly blessed to enjoy this wonderful time. I think the Boathouse is an excellent choice to use as a home base to explore Kingston and Prince Edward County. We will definitely consider going back in the future. We feel invigorated and relaxed after our weekend and we have Lisa and Glen and Moose and their amazing property to thank for this!

Dog's Paradise
We just returned from 5 nights at Hay Bay and at one point I thought my dog wasn't coming home with us, he absolutely loved the freedom and chasing Moose. We had a wonderful time, the boat house is perfect for whatever you want to do whether just relaxing with the breath taking view or going out exploring. Thank you so much for the great time.

A perfect spot to enjoy while touring the area, visiting with friends or just to relax and catch up with yourself. Last weekend of summer getaway.
Spent two nights at the Boathouse and had a lovely time — we were lucky to have some great weather which allowed us to enjoy the deck over the water. A cup of coffee watching the sunrise over the bay and finishing up our day with drinks and dinner as the sun went down. We explored the county during the day, took advantage of the Glenora Ferry which was a nice drive from the Boathouse. Loved how dog friendly Lisa's place is — our two pups enjoyed exploring the grounds and meeting Moose! Really appreciated the dog gate on the deck, a nice touch along with the welcome basket waiting for us on checkin. Overall a great weekend away!

Hay Bay Boathouse
This surpassed my expectations in many ways - it was a lovely place to stay and I would do so again. Just 2 things to note: the barbecue could use a cleaning and that area of the weedy bay is not really suitable for swimming, just boating and fishing.
