My family stayed here for a wedding and they were absolutely delighted with their accommodation. The apartment had everything they needed. They booked an extra night and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. After locking themselves out after a late evening wedding reception the owners had to be woken up but were extremely understanding. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this wonderful property for a fabulous base to explore.

All round this was excellent . The location couldn’t have been better, Carmen and David were very friendly and welcoming. The house itself has been refurbished and decorated to a high standard while retaining much of its original character. We also liked small details such as fresh milk in the room and access to topping this and tea/coffee etc from the dining room. Breakfasts were also first class.

Castle View B and B is excellent. I found the decor, staff, breakfast, facilities to be top class. My only criticism is of the size and location of bathroom. We only stayed one night and it was adequate for our needs. The owner assured me, if we wish to stay foe a longer period in future, larger rooms are available.

Bathroom door....not enough room for a full door - it was a folding door.

Breakfast was excellent, two of everything on the cooked side with cereal, orange juice, toast and tea available too. The B&B has a great central location easy to pop out to eat or party if you so wish.

Wi-Fi was poor. That is the only negative not such an issue for me but it was my son.

Location to shops,leisure centre

The breakfast is very good and has a variety of choices. The location is within walking distances for local attractions.

Car parking is on the roadside and public car parks with 2 hours limit during day time. A parking disc has to be displayed or a fine will be imposed.

An excellent B&B which has been refurbished to a high standard. The owners were welcoming and friendly. An excellent location and no hesitation in recommending the property.

Highly recommended! Very friendly host, rooms comfortable and perfectly clean, great breakfast, nice recently renovated and refurbished house. walking distance to historic city center. We spent a night here on our way back from Scotland to the ferry to the Netherlands (both Newcastle and Hull are not too far away). We had a nice dinner in Townhouse 59 btw.

The castleview was a lovely place and exceptionally clean. The room we booked was a twin but was given a free upgrade to a double which was beautiful and breakfast was very tasty. Would highly recommend staying here. Nothing was too much trouble.

I really enjoyed my stay at castle view. the room was comfortable and clean. the hosts were helpful and kind. love the dog.
