Located in Kahului on the beautiful island of Maui, Sunset is one of Campervan Hawaii’s Mercedes Metris pop-top campervans with seating for 5 and is great for cruising around the island. It is one of our favorite campervans in the fleet and features a rear seat that easily converts to a queen bed at night and a pop-top which opens up to allow you to stand up inside the van and also has another 2 person bed up top. It has a 50qt refrigerator, a large shade awning, a 3” Tempurpedic mattress on the lower bed, swiveling front seats, bug screen for the rear hatch, 120V AC outlets, 12V USB outlets, privacy curtains, surfboard racks, 3 gallon portable “Rinse Kit” shower, and a stereo with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Arriving: Our standard check-in time is 3:00PM. If available, you may be able to checkin sooner for an additional fee of $10/hr should you want your campervan earlier than 3:00PM. Let us know if you would like early check-in and we will try and accommodate you but it is not guaranteed. We are located at 230 Hana Hwy #9 which is around 2 miles from Kahului (OGG) airport. The best way of getting there is by using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft and alternatively there are taxis but they tend to be more expensive. Once there, we will go over the campervan with you, teach you how to use it, answer any questions you might have and will get you on the road. Camping: Camping on Maui does require you to have a campsite for each night as there is no free camping. Since Sunset has been in our fleet for 5 years now, it does show some wear and tear and is priced accordingly, but it still remains one of our most popular campervans for cruising around the island. When booking through Outdoorsy’s platform, you will be required to purchase insurance through them even if you have your own insurance that would cover this campervan rental.
