What a beautiful and serene property! The home is well appointed and the property and views are gorgeous! We enjoyed the visits from the dogs and chickens from the neighbors. The parks around the lake are a very nice visit. The owner is very polite and eager to please. Thank you!

I thought the home was comfortable and as described. The lake was nice and fun, kids enjoyed. I would only suggest internet in the future even if only satellite. Verizon cell service is almost non existent but T-Mobile seemed better. Recommend for rest and relaxing vacation

Six members of Clark Hill Bassmasters stayed at this West Pont lake home and couldn't have been happier. It's less than 3 minutes from a Army Corp of Engineers boat landing, the home is well maintained and very cozy. It's tucked away from the road so you have no traffic, which makes it safe and easy for you to leave your boat with no worries. The owner is super nice stays in touch in case you need anything during your stay. One of the members of the club made the comment that it was the nicest place he'd ever stayed in over 44 years of traveling fishing bass tournaments. Thanks for the hospitality David. We will definitely stay here again.

Host was great! The accommodations were excellent! We didn't venture out as much due to the weather but it was very quiet and relaxing....would definitely rent again in the warmer months.

Great place in the woods. Clean, dry and close to West Point. We would travel here again in the summer.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a lovely house, very spacious, the deck is great and most of all, the private beach down the hill made our holiday very peaceful. If you like dogs, Shirley and Sally from a nearby house will come visit you. They are very sweet, very well trained and they will even walk w you to the shoreline. Spent a week here for a family vacation with four adults and two kids. The home was very clean, and well stocked with everything you need. It has a great open floor plan with lots of room for everyone to have their space. There's a cute little area in one corner that the kids loved as their "game spot." We made a huge holiday meal, and there was plenty of room for everyone to cook and eat. The owner was wonderful to work with. It was late fall during our visit, so too cold to be in the water. But I'd like to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the convenience of having the lake right in your backyard!

Ideal retreat site

Dave was excellent with communication & made checking in & our worry free. Beautiful home, great layout, all the comfort creatures of home! Neighbors Dutch & Thea met us upon arriving introduced us to Sally & Shirley who soon became close friends and a lot of treats shared. The path to lake was beautiful and peaceful, especially with a cup of coffee. Enjoyed West Point downtown and it’s shops. Easy travel to & from Atlanta Airport. Thanks again Dave for everything!

Property was very nice and clean. We were fishing a tournament and it was a little tight to get the truck and boat turned around. We would certainly stay there again. The hosts were very nice and easy to work with.

Beautiful well maintained home on the lake

This was a very relaxing vacation. I would kayak around the lake in the mornings and evenings while my father would take pictures of local wildlife. There were a few deer (including a fawn) we would routinely see on the property. The owner was easy to talk with and promptly responded to any questions. Hopefully will be able to spend some more time there during cooler months for better fishing. We caught some bream, but wasn't a strong bite due to the warm summer water temps. Thank you David for providing a great vacation spot.

This was a great property for traveling w young ones. The 3 bed 2 bath open floor plan w master on one end the other bedrooms Across the house allowed for privacy and a bit if quiet. This home is NOT close to shopping or restaurants- there is a bit of a drive to get anywhere. For me this was a plus! It is located in a wooded forrest on a nice lake. We saw deer and wild life daily. The beach is a 4 minute drive but really is just as nice getting in right by the house. Fridge is good sized and the ice maker works great. Drinking water was decent. We seldom watched tv but the cable reception was good. The kitchen could definitely use a few more pots and larger frying pan and the closests needed some hangars. Observations of a renter mind you not really “complaints “. Water pressure was great- enjoyed the bath tub. TONS of closet space and washer/dryer was really a plus! David was a great host and if/when I return I definitely would say here again.

Quiet peaceful

The house is nice and open and clean. Nice furnishings and comfortable space. We enjoyed my dads birthday here. Just a short walk to the lake through the wooded trail. We were able to pull our pontoon boats to the sand and tie off which was nice for boat access. The neighbors are friendly, however they are very close by. They tend to the house for the owners and definitely keep a close watch on what’s going on and whose in and out. The neighbors also have dogs and chickens, the dogs are friendly but they are at the property very often since the property’s are so close together. That was the only downside, there is no personal pets allowed at this property most likely because of the neighbors pets. We brought our blackstone grill with us and cooked outside by the garage, amd overnight one of the dogs tools and ate our grill scrubber and they laid on our grillcover and tubes and got hair on them, it cleaned off it was still just the inconvenience of it. Like I said the dogs are friendly and good with kids so it wasn’t unbearable, but if you don’t like animals it’s not the place for you. There was also a dog from down the road max, at 2020 address we looked at his tag and we had to call those neighbors to come get him cause he was splashing in the water and trying to jump at the fishing pole, he’s just a puppy but it was interrupting us. Overall it was a good stay. Thanks again.

We had such a great time at this lake house! Location is perfect with a view of the lake and woods for the kids to explore in. Neighbors were very nice and welcoming. House is beautiful with open design perfect for lots of family time. The master bathroom is huge and had two closets that were big enough to each hold a packnplay. Our youngest one had his own bedroom this way and slept well. We caught catfish and took our inflatable boat onto the lake. Kids loved everything about this vacation and want to come back. Glad we took rainboots though as the kids went up close to the lake. We went to Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights and had only a 40 minute drive. Dowels Knob overlook was amazing and about the same distance. Communication with owner was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

Love the house & location

My group was very pleased with our stay overall. The lake house was awesome! We had everything we needed and wanted and plenty of space to enjoy! We were close to the lake for fishing and for our boats. We loved the serenity and being outside enjoying nature. The neighbors were friendly and the owner was responsive to questions and concerns and made sure we were comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit. -Jackie S.

Beautiful place to stay.

A very lovely and convenient location to connect with our family that was staying at Amity Campground. The small beach area made it possible to rent a pontoon one day and enjoy catching up with the rest of the family at Amity! The large kitchen area made it fun to have lunch with family! Location was beautiful, right on the lake with enough distance ‘not’ to have mosquitos! We will definitely come back in the Fall if available! Thank you Mr Veasey for a lovely place to stay!

We have rented several houses on the lake, and this one was the best! The house was very clean, spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, easy to get to, and in the perfect location. Being in the cove with a little sandy beach area was perfect for enjoying our time together. The large deck and strings of lights added the perfect touch. The owner was friendly and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely book here again. Thank you so much!
