We were absolutely pleased with our stay at this lovely home. The layout of the floor plan was perfect for us two adults, our teenager, and two younger children. Everyone had a comfortable bed, a convenient bathroom, and a wide-open, roomy, common area to gather in for family time. We liked the location, near the edge of town. So it was somewhat private but near enough to ride our rented golf cart to everything we wanted to see and do. The owner was responsive and kind. We would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone considering this home as your next vacation get away. .

This is an excellent property with plenty of space and an owner who is willing to work with you and your situation. Beautiful place to stay. We came down from Maryland to celebrate Christmas with our family. The house had plenty of space to enjoy with our daughter's family and not feel like we were in each other's way. We also enjoyed evening hours in the town as the streets were closed and the town came alive with carriage rides, music, lights and open shops to celebratethe holidays! Magical!!!

Excellent experience

We had a great time in Cape Charles and the home was conveniently located to “downtown.”. Highly suggest renting a golf cart as it’s much easier to get to the other side of the community where the pool and larger beach are located. But, the amenities and home are well suited for a family with young kids - which we have. Pros: The home is well stocked, the bedrooms are a nice a size, the owner is responsive and helpful, the home was clean, and check in and out were pretty seamless. There were plenty of towels, including those for the beach available for use. There were also chairs and an umbrella for use which we appreciated since we made a day trip to Sandbridge. Things to Know: The garage doors are finicky and the hose to wash sand is located inside the garage. The bedroom TV doesn’t connect to the WiFi so it doesn’t work, and you can only watch Netflix. Our cell service was pretty spotty and only worked in the kitchen area - no big deal with the wifi - but we didn’t have good service with either (wifi or cell) in the bedrooms. If you plan to cook, bring some olive, etc. oil. Cons: The master shower looks like it’s difficult to clean, thus it wasn’t that clean - there seemed to be mold in a lot of hard to reach places. The front porch and outdoor furniture was pretty dirty so we didn’t use it much. We enjoyed our stay and thank you for hosting us.

We had a great time on our trip to Cape Charles. The home is beautiful and very spacious. Our kids are almost 5 and 18 months old, so it was great to have the crib in the kids room so we didn’t have to haul a Pack and Play. The kids also got a lot of use out of the wagon in the garage for walks into town. We also loved having access to the Bay Creek pool - it was the perfect way to break up our beach days. Would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home is beautiful and comfortable. Because it is part of the Bay Creek community, we were able to use the Bay Creek community pool and tennis courts, which we enjoyed. But the house is also close to Cape Charles and feels like part of the town; we could easily golf cart to the beach and shops in town. Cape Charles is charming and a great place to visit with kids. We can't recommend it enough.

This house was a great home away from home in Cape Charles. The house was spacious and modern. We all enjoyed the comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms. The house is clearly well taken care of. At first the location seems odd being alone in the front of the community, but it was great for us, close enough to walk to town, but also quiet. We took advantage of the benefits of Bay Creek using both the pool and the private beaches. The house had lots of the amenities for the beach including beach chairs, wagons, and beach toys. Thanks for a great vacation rental!

This was our first trip to Cape Charles and couldn't have been happier with our house pick. We were a family of five adults and there was plenty of room and we were all very comfortable. The pictures are accurate--the house is lovely. The location was great--a 3 minute car ride to the downtown shops and restaurants. The access to the private beaches was a nice perk--we would recommend that you go to the large private beach not the small one (if it is high tide there won't be much beach there!). If you are bringing a family with small children, the beaches (both public and private) are wonderful. Minimal waves since Cape Charles is bayside and the water stays quite shallow with the sand bars. The house itself is awesome. We texted the owner with a couple of lightbulb issues (just so he was aware, not because it was causing any problems) and he got right back to us. The house was very clean, plenty of towels, comfy beds with linens and the AC felt wonderful at the end of the hot beach days. My only complaint was that there weren't any grill utensils, but truly, I was on vacation so who cares!?! 5 stars for the house and the host!!

The house is a great house. All one floor which turned out to be great. We have two small boys ages 3 and 6 and this house was perfect with them. You should rent a golf cart to get to and from the beach because it is all the way in the back of town. But everyone drives golf carts around town and the golf cart rental place is right across the street! They have plenty of beach chairs and umbrella and floats in the garage that they happily share with the renters. Communication with the owner was so easy. Very prompt responses all the way through the process and during our stay. Was nice to have access to Bay Creek private beach and community pool (but not the private bay creek pool). Overall great stay and definitely want to stay again.

Wonderful property with everything as advertised, better in person than the pictures reflect.

This was by far our best experience yet on VRBO. The house is beautiful, well appointed, clean, and centrally located for all you want to do at Cape Charles. We rented a golf cart and my family had the best time. Chris is readily available and has clear instructions for renters and is a wonderful communicator. They are gracious to share their many toys in the garages and we loved playing some cornhole as a family. It is without a doubt we will be back and will likely make this our go to rental in Cape Charles in the future. Above and beyond expectations!

The large dining table was great for meals and games.The location was perfect as it allowed us to walk a lot in a peaceful setting (pond, geese, colorful houses, quiet neighborhoods, beaches, marina, downtown Cape Charles, etc.) and view beautiful sunsets (best from the public beach). 2 runners in the group enjoyed scenic morning runs and we all enjoyed throwing a Frisbee or kicking a soccer ball on the open field right outside the home.We also enjoyed Bay Creek amenities included with the rental like the private beaches and pool a short drive away. It helped that the owners provided a beach cart/wagon along with a large beach umbrella, chairs, and towels.Other features of the well-equipped home that we enjoyed were a drink fridge, grill, and sound system. We all had such a relaxing time, we were sad to leave.
