The property is tastefully decorated. The quality of linens, furniture, decor is minimalistic with style. Being in nature and relaxing in the beautiful outside spaces was fabulous.The owner Jesinta is lovely and so helpful and a talented chef. She offered to make us dinner. It was Over the top Delicious.Breakfast as well 👍 I cannot say enough about this property other than I want to stay longer❣️

Maria is an incredible hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She makes sure you are very well taken care of. We were very comfortable. The house is super clean and modern. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and AC was excellent. There is good wifi access throughout the house. Maria makes a wonderful, fresh breakfast every morning. Her local recommendations were wonderful and made our experience in the area perfect. The location is also great, especially if you don’t mind a scenic drive or scenic train ride into the heart of the Douro. There is convenient parking as well. We would eagerly stay here again!

Wow, its was amazing experience

This is a really unique property, one of those little gems which you almost never come across these days. The property itself is set on a beautiful farm with large trees. The house is large and clean and there is a real homely feel while also being very stylish. The teak furniture and the whole design of the house is stunning, the light in the evening makes it quite magical. The best part about our stay however was the host. Maria's Mother is a wonderful kind lady who is an amazing cook and baker. She made us two home cooked meals which were very tasty with her husbands green wine. It was such a relaxing experience in the candlelight. She thoughfully lays out the tables with the families together, and the couples outside on smaller tables. The breakfast was the best we had during our two week stay, she makes delicious home cooked bread and cakes. She is very good at understanding the needs of her guests to make sure they have a lovely time. Thank you so much!

This is one of the best experiences we have ever had with accommodation. A Padaria Farmhouse is just beautiful in the most idyllic countryside. We can’t over emphasis how amazing our host Maria was. Our daughter wasn’t feeling well so she let us check in several hours early and offered to keep an eye on her while my husband and I went for a hike. Maria had wonderful local recommendations for things to do and was just so sweet and kind. Our rooms were fabulous and we just loved the breakfast. Lots of local produce, super fresh and beautifully presented. We loved Portugal but would absolutely return just to visit with Maria at A Padaria Farmhouse again!

This accomodation is something else. It is a home and we felt the love right when we came in. We had planned for Douro Valley only one night but we quickly decided to spend here two nights eventhough it rained for the whole time. We took it as a small retreat for us to charge our batteries for next stops. The host, Maria, was very helpful and welcoming. Everything was super clean and tastefully designed and the breakfast was like our slow sunday brunch at home.

The location was beautiful! A peaceful, quiet place where the room had a lovely view and there were so many places to take a walk nearby! Breakfast was incredibly tasty as well, and the house was clean and tranquil. Staff were so very sweet and accommodating as well.
