Good neighborhood

Even nicer inside than the photos, and on a quiet street with lots of trees. We enjoyed being able to walk to the downtown area for coffee or lunch. We enjoyed our stay and the chance to meet our host!

Met up with friends I haven’t seen in a while to hang out. Great location for exploring Matthews. No need to drive as it was an easy walk into town.

While the property is quite beautiful, we had an unpleasant stay. We showed up to the place late in the evening and past check in time to find an uncleaned house. When we called the host, she was practically unreachable - I had to download WhatsApp in order to call her, when I finally got a hold of the host, she ended up laughing at our complaints about the space. She sent the cleaning crew and they were done around 11pm, and chalked it up to a scheduling conflict. The rest of the stay was pleasant enough given the circumstances. After checkout, the host reached out to complain about a dirty house and food all over the house while we only had meals in the living room. Overall, the hosts lack of proper communication, the state we found the property in and the thinly-veiled cop out from taking responsibility on the first night that was saying we left a messy house alongside VRBOs poor excuse of customer support left a bad taste in my family’s experience at this stay and with VRBO

This place was cute and clean and great for our stay visiting friends in Matthews. Kim was great communicating with us and was super helpful.

The home has everything you need and is in a very quiet neighborhood. Convenient to downtown and all the amenities of Matthews. The owners were very responsive to our needs. Will definitely be back.

As much as I do not like posting negative reviews, I felt the necessity to post this. The house and location was perfect for our visit but the "deposit" has been a nightmare. The owner informed me that they were a larger and on API software so I needed to pay a deposit outside of the VRBO website and sent me a link to do so. I paid the deposit and notified the owner. I started receiving texts stating that they did not receive the $1,500 deposit but rather a $59.00 insurance payment. I submitted a screenshot of the confirmation and asked them to verify that it had been received. On the day of check out I received a text stating that they had received the deposit and it would be refunded as soon as the cleaning was finished that afternoon. The following day I received a 5 star rating from the owner so I assumed I would see the deposit refunded that day. I waited 5 days and then reached out to them asking when my deposit would be refunded. The following day I received a message, again, stating that I did not pay the deposit but rather the insurance payment. I once again sent them the $1500.00 confirmation and asked them to refund my deposit. It has now been 11 days since I checked out of the home and still no refund of my deposit. I would have given this home a 5 star rating had it not been for the inconvenience that I am still going through. I will begin the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company in hopes that this will be resolved!

This house was very convenient for our stay in Matthews - spacious accommodations for sleeping and hosting a larger family gathering. The kitchen was well equipped for basics and for a more elaborate baking project. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet and just a few blocks from downtown Matthews with its restaurants and shops. We would readily return.

The property was perfect for my family of 7. There were enough beds for everyone to have their own. The living room area was so spacious and perfect for the kiddos to play. We went to the farmers market Saturday morning and it was so so fun! Perfect house and location!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was very clean and smelled good every time we opened the door! It was a perfect amount of space for our family. Kim was very responsive and kept in communication with me. The next time we come to Matthews will definitely try to stay here.

The property was exactly what we needed for a quick weekend trip to Charlotte. The home was very clean and exactly as described. Check in and check out procedures were clear and easy. The location was perfect for our family to walk to downtown Matthews for dinner. We would definitely stay here again!

We were looking for a place within walking distance of the quaint downtown of Matthews and this spot was easy walking distance from this property. Home is tucked in a nice neighborhood on a dead-end street so there was no traffic noise. Beds were comfortable and owners were easy to communicate with. We will stay again when in the area.

We were in town working for the presidents cup. This place was perfect for us! The owners were great communicators and made sure we had what we needed. Everyone was comfortable and the location was close to our job site and a great price! Thank you so much for everything see you next time!

Great Clean House..Great location …Great Food in the area…and a Great Host. I would definitely recommend this location to Family and Friends.

Loved the location, decor and ease of access. Some of the decor was just amazing! vintage books, a full kitchen with gorgeous silverware I just adored. In the living room and bedrooms there are beautiful fixtures and lots of blankets and towels. I had my 16 year old and 5 year old with me and they loved the beds. I would suggest another TV in the main bedroom at the least. The couch in the living room was not comfortable or appealing, I have sensory issues and I HATE pilling on material and have lint machines at my home to address these gross cloth appendages. This couch was covered by very rough pilling every single inch, I couldn’t enjoy that. We were asked to clean our dishes and we cleaned the house before leaving taking all our trash because I am hoping I don’t get hit with a second cleaning fee like some of the other commenters have noted. Notes and instructions around the house to make sure the plants and furniture are cared for appropriately was cool, didn’t mind that. I understand guests can be terrible. Thanks Kim for the communication all weekend and I would definitely book again!

Cute, two bedroom two bathroom house located within walking distance to Downtown Matthews. Perfect sized home for Grandma and Grandpa to stay while visiting our Grandsons. Will definitely book again.

We were in town for a family reunion. The location was perfect, close to everything. The neighborhood was quiet with lots of trees. House was very clean and well stocked with towels, linens and blankets. Host was attentive and easy to contact. Will stay again!

We stayed there for a graduation, great location! Very quiet neighborhood but close to downtown! Loved how close it is to everything. We were very cozy during our stay. Place was nice and clean!

We enjoyed our stay! From the beautiful decor to access to extra towels and blankets. It smelled wonderful, enjoyed the real plants. Having a filtered water jug was the best! It felt homey, Aesthetic pleasing, great communication with owner, clean, with very comfortable beds. Throughly enjoyed our stay!! Highly recommend!!!

The house was very clean and decorated beautifully. The bedding was very comfortable and cozy- it was the perfect little place to stop while in the process of moving.

Everything was great. We had a sporting event near by at the sportsplex for the weekend. Everything was great except they tried to charge me an extra $150 for some turf and pellets that were left in the house from being at the fields. We swept and tried to get it clean but we do pay for a cleaning service. I was a little disappointed in that. Make sure to leave it immaculate. The cleaning fee only covers, well, I’m not sure what.

We (3 sisters) enjoyed staying so close to town, we walked there often. The house was nice and tidy clean. The beds were comfy. We would suggest leaving small bars of soap for future guests.

This was the perfect jumping off point for our families little adventure.
