We stayed at Nina and Dave’s place for the month of July and had a great experience! The house is a short walk to restaurants/bars, ice cream, and the beach. It was well stocked (especially the kitchen) and if we needed something, Nina was responsive and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time in Onset and would rent from Nina and Dave again.

Home is just as listed and photos show. Nina was very welcoming and communicative with anything that may have been needed (we didn’t need anything, the house is fully stocked/furnished and everything worked great!). My kids enjoyed all the fun decor and we all enjoyed comfortable beds. No A/C as usual for beach homes here but the fans throughout the home kept it a very comfortable temperature! We’d love to stay here again.

We have made our trip to the Cape an annual event for a few years now. We specifically stay at this property. It has easy access to local beaches and for further distant adventures. Very quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a small local beach. Property has everything you need and the hosts are wonderful. Highly recommend.

This is the second year we have rented from Nina & Dave and have fallen in love with the home as well as the attentiveness of the owners. We feel at home in their vacation home and plan to make this a yearly trip - we’ve been coming to Onset for close to 15 years and so far this is the perfect rental for us

We have nothing but high praises for this delightful gingerbread cottage.
It had everything we needed to cook, be comfortable and completely relax. The attention paid to numerous whimsical touches elevates it beyond your average cottage. You can feel the lovely vibe as soon as you open the door. The proximity to the cove and the town beach is ideal.
Thank you Nina and Dave for creating such a lovely place to be. By the time we left my grandson was well on his way to playing piano, a gift from the hummingbirds and butterflies I am sure!

Very well equipped, lovely cottage close to beach and a few minutes from the center of Onset. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the games and books, the herb and flower garden, and sitting on the deck. Highly recommended!

Lovely Gingerbread Cottage on Onset
This was our second year in this lovely cottage and we enjoyed every minute of it. It is meticulously decorated and has any kitchen item one would need. We love the location. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach and several wonderful local restaurants. Nina is absolutely a great host and we hope to return next summer! We also appreciate that our poodle is welcomed!

Perfect get away
Wonderful little gem in Onset MA. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to small beach. Perfect launching place for wonderful Cape Cod beaches. Property managers very responsive and accommodating. This was our second stay at this property and cannot wait to visit again next year.

Family Vacation
For the past 12 years we have been renting a house for a week in Onset, Ma with our son and his family. We had been renting on Sunset Cove and loved the area. Then Covid hit and we were unable to go in 2020 and the house we rented is no longer available it sold. We searched and found The Gingerbread Cottage. The size of the house was amazing and the owner Nina and Dave were so accommodating. Definitely give this an exceptional rating and recommend this property for a family.

Magical sunsets and cottage in Onset
This is our 2nd year staying at the beautiful cottage of David and Nina. It is a true experience to enter their home: clean, spacious, well appointed with colorful furniture and decor. The screened in porch is our favorite place to lounge and have dinner with magical sunsets just steps out the door. They have everything there to make a family feel comfortable with outside wonderful grill and eating area. Dog Friendly was a big plus and allowed us to bring Ozzie! I plan to return for a 3rd year in 2022.

ANOTHER FANTASTIC FAMILY VACATION!
We love the cottage in Onset. It's become a family tradition to stay there. Our children really enjoy how close it is to town to get pizza or ice cream and to be able to walk to the beach is ideal. The house is equipped with everything one would need for a family getaway. Nina is an amazing host!

This was a WOW experience for us. The house was elegantly and well furnished with easy to clean materials that made one feel safe in trying times. Everything was clean and well equipped. Loved the patio, English style garden, barely a minute from the beach with outdoor shower and hose to rinse off afterwards. We are hoping to return next year.

Perfect In Every Way!
The Gingerbread cottage was perfect in every way! It is meticulously decorated in every little detail and any item we needed was readily available from the kitchen to the bathroom to the beach accessories. Nina and Dave are perfect hosts and obviously anticipate the needs of their guests. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to several restaurants and the beach. We found the food to be excellent at the four local restaurants in which we dined. We spent Father’s Day weekend there and my husband is suggesting the cottage would be a wonderful place to spend next Father’s Day! Great place
This place worked perfectly for us. Our children and 5 grandchildren came for a day, walked to the beach, ate pizza at outside table, played duets on the piano.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need unless you are a Kuring coffee person....if so this would be your chance to try French Press coffee 😊

We had a great stay in Onset and enjoyed walking over to the beach and sampling the town's restaurants. The house is well furnished with everything you might need. Nina was very friendly and easy to communicate with!

Charming Cottage, Wonderful Vacation!!
Our stay at Nina and Dave's Gingerbread Cottage was absolutely amazing!! From the moment we unlocked the door, we were in Cape Cod heaven!! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything and anything you could possibly think of or need. They even have a popcorn whirley and we used it every night of our stay!! The living/dining area is so comfortable and feels like home!! The master bedroom was bright and sunny and the bed was so comfortable; I usually have trouble sleeping in a bed that is not mine but not here!! I could go on and on about this charming cottage tucked away in the village of Onset, but the jist of it is...our vacation was absolutely amazing, and Nina and Dave's hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary!! We will definitely be back!!

Cozy Winter Stay
My partner and I had such a wonderful time and the hosts Nina and Dave were incredible. We were looking for a nice break from the mundane and decided to book a week to get away from the city. The property was clean and cozy and the kitchen was fully stocked, so as someone that cooks a lot I was in VRBO heaven. Nina and Dave were responsive and thoughtful in all of our exchanges. Still wishing I were back there!

We had a wonderful stay in Onset. The house is very comfortable and had everything we could ask for. We were able to walk to a couple of restaurants and the grocery store was only a short drive. Thanks to the owners for their wonderful hospitality!

Unexpected hidden jewel!
Wow, wow, wow! My wife and I went for a vacation that is close to our family in MA. We wanted a familiar town (my wife went here as a child) in a pet friendly home. This home was more impressive than the pictures, spacious, closer to the beach than we thought and the thoughtfulness of the decor and amenities were incredible! The neighborhood is so friendly and Nina is an incredible host and welcomed us and our 12 year old Dachshund with open arms. Definitely want to stay here again for all our future visits to the in-laws!

Wonderful spacious cottage located a short walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood for walking my dogs and the cottage had everything imaginable including a water bowl for the dogs! Perfect house for a gathering!
This was such a comfortable house for a getaway for my husband and I and two adult daughters. We were joined by another daughter and her family (1 yr and 3 yr olds) and there was plenty of space for us all to enjoy one another's company! Preparing a rather involved meal was a breeze with the abundant counter space in the adorable kitchen, too. We LOVED that Nina was so accommodating to pets.

A relaxing family retreat
My family and I truly enjoyed Nina and Dave’s beautiful cottage. Our favorite spot was the porch. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfy. The home has everything that you needed to have a wonderful vacation. This was the first time bringing our dog on vacation and he loved it. We walked along the beach and the beautiful neighborhood. Tranquil living
Nina and Dave have created a sanctuary of peace and beauty in their doll house cottage. All the amenities were beautiful. Clean and updated bedrooms and linens and plenty of room for a family. Only one block from the beach, Onset is a tranquil village with charm. I would rent this cottage again and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The outside area was perfect for grilling and everything in the cottage was bright and decorated with impeccable taste and charm. The area is family friendly and Nina and Dave allowed us to bring our dog which was a treat!

A Home Away From Home
The biggest challenge with any rental property is that it feels sterile and impersonal. Not so with this property. Not only was everything we could possibly have needed already there, but there was even more! And most important of all - it felt like a much loved home - which made us feel at home. The house is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Nina was my point of contact and incredibly helpful with the million questions I had. The place had more amenities than could be asked for. The house is beautiful, well decorated, well stocked with essentials, within walking distance of the town and beach. Wonderful stay!
This house was fantastic! We enjoyed a wonderful 2 week working vacation to get away from the city and it was everything we were looking for - spacious, bright and charming. The outdoor patio and porch were nice and sunny with lots of seating and the large kitchen and dining area made for great meals. We were in very quick walking distance to the beautiful Onset beaches and restaurants when we decided on takeout. The owners were very responsive to questions we had during our stay and made it easy to enjoy the house.
