Had everything you needed and more. Clean and cozy.

The house is roomy, had everything we needed for 6 adults and 4 children. It could just use a good cleaning (silverware drawer was gross, dusty baseboards etc.) and some maintenance. 2 burners on the stove got hot making it interesting for cooking for 10. The shower in the master drips and the heaters in the other 2 bedrooms are REALLY noisy making it hard to sleep. Even though we had a great time with our children and grandchildren we won't stay again at this one.

The house is very nice and very close to Timberline mt. ski resort. We stayed with a friend's family: 4 adults, 5 teens and 1 child. It was perfect!

We have stayed in Canaan Valley many times and this was one of our favorite houses to date. Beautiful setting in Old Timberline. House was immaculate, had everything we needed, hot tub worked great, garage a huge plus with the cold weather and great bunk room for the kids!

We stayed over Christmas and enjoyed skiing and hiking. Cabin is minutes from Timberline. Cabin was decorated for Christmas which was important for me and much appreciated! The cabin is a little dated with the carpet throughout, needs to be cleaned or replaced. I wish the cooking pots/pans and utensils were of better quality (not from dollar store or garage sell quality). I enjoy cooking for my family and cooking every night was a challenge. The beds were comfortable, fireplace was cozy, hot tub was wonderful after a full day. The cabin is spacious, with 6 adults and 1 teenager we had plenty of room to relax. Overall it was a wonderful week!

As expected. Hot tub was great! Spacious primary room with wonderful gas fireplace. Good for families and group of friends. Would go back again!

House was completely as advertised!! Clean, organized and stocked kitchen for cooking. Hot tub and game room were great!! Would definitely go here again if looking in the area.

My grandson really enjoyed exploring the "big house" and fishing in the nearby ponds. We explored so much while we were there from the caverns to hiking Seneca. This is a cozy house tucked in the woods, with a wrap-around deck in the front and a screened porch in the back. It has 3 comfortably sized bedrooms, each of which sleeps 2 people, and one dorm-type room with six single beds for kids or teens. We spent a little bit of time in the downstairs game room, where I remembered how to play skee-ball from long-ago beach days. There was plenty of room to laze around, with couches, comfy chairs, and a big-screen TV. Internet service was excellent. Decor is appropriately mountain and bear-related throughout, which adds to the house's warmth. The kitchen has most standard equipment, though I'd recommend bringing special items you use often, in my case, a coffee cone and filters, for one. The location is great for seeing the area sights. It's 9 miles south of Davis, 11 miles south of Thomas, and 10 miles north of Harman. A few miles past Harman is the Still Hollow Distillery -- worth making the trip. Blackwater Falls State Park is about 11 miles north. A lovely, peaceful, quiet spot for a relaxing vacation.

Our stay at Eagles View was as outstanding as the beautiful pictures depict. This house is private, Well maintained and has all of the amenities for a very comfortable stay. GREAT location to take in all of the natural splendor of West By God Virginia. Easy access to hiking Dolly Sods, Canaan Valley resort and Blackwater Falls. I highly recommend!!

Let me start off by saying that this house had everything and more for our family. We saw a rainy forecast before our trip, but were comforted knowing the property had a game room to occupy our kids in the event we were stuck indoors. The kitchen was well equipped and organized with labels on all the cabinets. There's access to Dolly Sods at the top of the community and we made numerous quick trips to watch the sunset at the overlook. The only complaint we had is the cleanliness. It didn't appear that any vacuuming was done under the large dining room table. There were several large scraps of food remaining from previous guests. The hot tub was enticing, but had quite a bit of dirt/tree debris that made us question if it was cleaned at all before we arrived so we opted not to use it. If it hadn't been for the cleanliness we would have rated the home 5 stars, but when you pay for a cleaning fee you would expect better.

What an awesome experience from start to finish! All communication prior to booking and after was excellent. The home was a perfect getaway nestled on a treed lot on a mountainside. One neighbor is somewhat near but the layout and positioning of the house helps preserve a sense of peace and privacy. The sunset view from the balcony was a perfect place for dinner and a glass of wine. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking and everything is well laid out and labeled. Though there were only two of us, the layout of the bedrooms would be great for families, friends, or couples traveling together. The gameroom was a blast! We spent time every day playing darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, and skeeball. All were high quality and in great condition with the only exception of having only one set of darts that had varying degrees of damage to the flights but in good enough shape for casual players. There was a nice selection of puzzles and games to use and the living room furniture was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The hot tub was in a great location and all jets worked. It's easy to operate and get the cover on and off. The small towns close by were fun to explore and had some neat restaurants and shops. Overall, this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything was so comfortable and the home felt so warm and inviting. We saw quite a few deer and loved the beautiful surroundings. We are hoping to come back with friends to enjoy the this awesome place again!

We came with our two children and friends that also had tow kids. The place had a lot of space and everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed the games and puzzles. We finished one and started a second. The owner said they usually keep one going so that was fun. The views of the sunsets over the mountains were amazing. The beds were comfy. The area was quiet and safe. And when we needed assistance with the hot tub we sent an email and had someone there to fix it in less than 8 hours. We loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, be it the game room, hot tub, or just hanging out on the deck or living room. We loved the hiking and views from the top of the neighborhood and liked the convenience in going to Blackwater falls and Canaan valley for hiking.
