The room was very spacious and the bed super comfy. I loved the retro fridge and style of furniture. The outdoor courtyard was excellent, especially the cowboy cauldron fire. Each staff member that I interacted with was very friendly and helpful.

Parking is the only tricky part. Woman traveling alone with kids so I didn’t want to park far away from the entrance in the garage.

We definitely didn't like the look of the stained couch cushion to wich we flipped over as we definitely did not want to sit on it or the stains on the carpet/rug. It made it feel as though it wasnt cleaned well at all & it also had like an old sweaty smell to the room when we checked in.

The hotel itself is charming and fun. Kitschy and comfortable. We’ve stayed at the one in Austin so we knew what to expect for the most part. Restaurant and bar on site with in room bar and pool.

The concrete floors leave your feet feeling dirty all of the time. Shower handle kept falling off so it was difficult to manage the shower. There was a live band on Saturday night, which would’ve been great acoustic, but it was a full band and they played until 10:00 pm in the courtyard at full blast. If this is a regular thing, I will stay somewhere else when we visit Lubbock. After traveling all day and just wanting to sleep, it was less than ideal. Maybe provide ear plugs for weekend check ins.

The style

I liked the lay out of the hotel. The way all the rooms faced the court yard. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Food and drinks were great. I liked the live band and how family and dog friendly it is

I was alone, as I my husband could not make the trip. I had to park at night, in the back of the property by myself. Then, I had to carry my luggage etc. If my husband would have been there, this would not have been an issue. I had to be at Texas Tech by 8:30 am the following day, and tried to eat breakfast at the restaurant. I went around 7:15, but had to leave because they were so very slow. Therefore, I left without eating breakfast.
