The apartment looked to be circa 16th or 17th century with fieldstone walls. It is a difficult area though for anyone with arthritic knees. Lots of steps inside and hilly terrain outside. Carmelo, the host is a very charming person and willing to assist when needed. This was my wife's ancestral village and she was very happy to see where her grandparents lived.

Charming apartment, ideal for two couples or family
Carmelo met us at the apartment and was very thorough in explaining the apartment's features and gave us useful information on Ragusa Ibla. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has good views and lots of natural light. Very well located for discovering Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa Superiore. Close to restaurants and supermarkets. We were very happy there and would recommend it.
