I rented this property for a last minute getaway with my husband and children. We needed something on a budget because...well life. This house fit everything we could've asked for on our short 5 day stay. The sunrise 🌅 here is amazing! Several of us sat on the dock for hours in the mornings and evenings. We caught plenty of fish and enjoyed watching dolphins as we sat out there. The only downside was the cleanliness. I own a cleaning business so you may think I'm being picky but even my children noticed the cleaning was pretty lacking. However we didn't let it get us down and made the very best of it! Heck we'd probably stay again if they'd have us!

Booking was easy. However, everything went down the drain after that. Our family travels every year for vacation, and this has been the worst rental we have ever had. The communication as far as checking into the rental was terrible. Upon arrival, the place was not properly cleaned. There were items broken within home. The worst part is, after checking out the hosts had the audacity to put the blame on our family that we broke those items, and placed an extra $500 dollar charge on our card along with accusing us of theft. A complete insult. We rent every year for our family vacation. We always have and will continue to respect the properties that we rent out. It took them days to provide proof with the multitude of accusations that they falsely claimed, yet they were only able to provide photos of the two items that were ALREADY broken upon arrival! We also found urine and blood stains all over the king sized mattress when we changed our sheets, and one of the bathroom toilets was broken and leaned forward every time we sat on it. I absolutely would not recommend renting this property from these people. Clearly they are looking for ways to cheat people out of their money!

The location was perfect for the activities related to bike week. The neighborhood was very quiet and was a nice way to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bike week. The property owners were very nice to work with.

Worst VRBO Rental Ever! Upon arrival and a quick look around, bed sheets and pillow cases had a noticeable stains, thank goodness there was a washing machine and laundry soap, so while washing the bed sheets, notice that the bar is dirty, had to clean that before getting my food out of the cooler. I proceed to unloading the cooler to the refrigerator only to find hair on the shelves of the door and food stuck to the glass shelf. Husband tries to turn the TV on, only to find out that no cable is hooked up. Even though the pictures on the listing show a television, the fine print does not list TV included. REALLY? Who offers a vacation rental without TV, I checked with Spectrum, you can add TV to your internet package for $50 a month. Not really worth it to get poor ratings and guaranteed no returning guests. While searching for an electrical outlet behind the couch, a years worth of dead bugs and food were found. Sparsely equipped kitchen with only large dinner plates, a couple of bowls and two or three drinking glasses. Lots of pots and pans. No dishwasher and no wine bottle opener. Very poor lighting throughout the house, had to remove a light bulb from a ceiling fan to replace a burned out bulb in the kitchen. Had to stand on the beds to reach the pull cord to light the ceiling light, even though there were light switches at the door, they didn't turn on any lights. Host Rick was very rude, and demanded that we apologize to him because we were so displeased with the rental. As if it was our fault that the refrigerator was not cleaned or wiped down and the beds had dirty sheets and pillow cases on them. Definitely worth and apology, to the tenants not the host. As a VRBO host in North Carolina, this listing was horrible beyond belief. The rusty For Sale By Owner sign in the front yard says it all.
