We had a great stay. We loved having a hot tub, pool and beach all right out the back door. The living space was inviting, spacious and it was really nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. We also enjoyed walking on the pier, which was just steps away from the house. Saw people catching fish and stingrays. Saw dolphins off the back porch. Swam in the ocean. Water was clearer than we expected. The sunsets were beautiful!

This is such a beautiful spot! It was the perfect place to get away for the week with friends. The house had everything you needed to enjoy a week away with friends, kids (4yo and 13yo), and dogs. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and thorough. Hilary was a gem to communication and coordinate every aspect of our trip with. We all loved the pool and being right on the beach. We definitely plan to return for make future memories in Rodanthe.

Hilary and David were amazing hosts. The property was comprehensive- we wanted and needed for nothing. The house was very clean, well appointed, and the location was simply amazing. Nothing beats the subsets and sunrises from their multiple decks! Our family had a wonderful vacation there!

We had a great vacation with are adult children and young grandkids! Awesome location by the pier, especially great if you love to fish. The owners were delightful to work with! Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing vacation!

We love Rodanthe and the Avon area as it is quieter than the northern towns of the Outer Banks. And Ocean Breeze is perfect the house. Absolutely spotless. Comfortable furniture. And the kitchen has many cooking and baking tools, even rolling pins and a hand mixer! Decks with endless ocean views and one on the sound side for sunsets. Hosts were very responsive to a few questions we had. Our grandchildren’s first time at the ocean and playing on the beach right on the water was perfect. The fishing pier makes for great sunrise photos. Still too cool in late March for swimming but the hot tub was great. Easy trips for groceries, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and a very cool pirate ship playground just to the north. Loggerheads at the Pea Island Nature Preserve.

Just finished a week at Ocean Breeze at it was spectacular. (And we’re pretty picky) We had never been to Rodanthe or the Outer Banks and I must say we got lucky. It really is the best house on the beach as I didn’t see another in either direction with a pool and strategically perfect views of the sunrises and sunsets from the 6 balconies it has. It’s sad the erosion of beach has taken out so we were happy to have one with all these amenities with plenty of beach still existing. We’re foodies who like to cook and kitchen was well equipped to do so. Owners couldn’t be nicer and were very responsive to the minor requests we made once there. We would definitely stay here again. Literally the perfect beach house and hated leaving!

Comfortable beach house in a great location right on the beach and next door to the fishing pier. Views of the sunrise and sunset were amazing. Perfect fit for our family.

I've been vacationing to Rodanthe for over 20 years with my family, and I've used multiple realtors and stayed in multiple homes. This home was by far the best home we've ever stayed in. Location is priceless and the lay out of the home and bedrooms are perfect for a large family. To experience a sunrise in this home can only be described as spiritual and something you will never forget. The owners of the property are very personal people and take the time to make sure you have everything you need. They are professional and are prompt with returning messages, my experience with them was excellent. I would recommend this home to other family and friends. You will not be disappointed.

We would give this property 6 stars out of 5 if we could. Simply amazing spot for a family beach vacation at the outer banks with great fishing, surfing, and swimming. The house has everything you could ask for and more. Very thoughtfully done and could not have been easier to relax and enjoy the beach. View is spectacular. We hope to be back soon. My children and grandchildren all agreed that this vacation was the best yet and that is due to the fantastic house and beach we were on. The house was perfect....enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our 6 adults and 3 teenagers to be very comfortable. The pool was wonderful. The perfect place to go when tired of the ocean. The house being right on the beach made it so easy for taking our chairs and umbrellas down. We were able to get the perfect sunrise pictures in the mornings and the pier right next to us was a big plus in the pics. We finally got to see the dolphins on our last morning and that just made the icing on the cake. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and answer any questions very quickly. We all had a wonderful, fun and relaxing vacation!!

This property was directly on the ocean. It is a beautiful house that is well taken care of by the owners. The owners stayed in contact consistently and made many suggestions that enhanced our trip. They are by far the best we have ever had.

Hilary and David are incredible hosts! They communicated promptly and checked with us on our first day to make sure everything was ok! The property is better than the pictures and was a great size for our party of 12. The views are absolutely STUNNING! The neighborhood is quiet which is exactly what we wanted! Grocery stores and good restaurants were not too far away! You will not be disappointed with this property. The home and pool were clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for meals in! The bedrooms are all good sizes! And our 6 boys loved the bunk bed room! Thank you for allowing our family to stay at your beautiful home!

This property was amazing - even more than we hoped for. The location couldn't be better and it was perfect for our group of 13. Our kids loved the beach, pool, and hottub. It was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were very kind and responsive. We can't wait to come back!

Our family had a wonderful time. We made many lasting memories. The house was big enough for all of us 7 adults , 3 children and a dog. The location was great. We found so much to do nearby. The owners provided all the information you would need for activities and restaurants nearby. They responded to emails promptly and were very friendly. We thank them so much for sharing their home with us and feel like they are a part of our family. We cannot wait to visit again.

The location of the house and all there is to do on the property is fabulous! You never need to leave! The owners were fantastic and responsive. The kitchen is very well stocked and the house was meticulously clean. We hope to come back!

My family and I had such a fabulous time here at Ocean Breeze! We have stayed in many rentals and Hilary and David are by far the most responsive and organized owners that we have come across. They truly care about wanting you to have a wonderful time and we were so appreciative of that. The location of the house on the surf side can’t be beat! The photos of the house don’t do it justice. When we walked in on the first level, my kids were excited to see the pool and foosball tables. Then you walk up to the second floor where my kids were so excited to pick out their bedrooms, all three bedrooms on this floor have their own bathrooms and two walk out to a deck overlooking the ocean. Then when we walked up to the third level where the kitchen, family room, and another bedroom are, we were blown away by the windows that overlook the ocean. Absolutely stunning and a must see in person! The pool and hot tub were so fun! It was pretty awesome to swim in the warm pool even on days when it was 60 degrees out! Thank you, Hilary and David, for helping my family to have such a wonderful and memorable vacation. We will be back for sure!

First of all the hosts of Sea Breeze are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. It was just myself and my husband with our dogs (thank you for opening your home to our crew). We all enjoyed naps, long walks and just some quality time listening to the waves. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of tools and dinnerware! Literally I didn't miss anything the whole week away from my own kitchen. The cookware was so nice I searched online and ordered myself a set. The hot tub was just icing on the cake. We spent numerous times a day in this thing and the privacy of it tucked away on the lower deck watching/listening to the waves was spectacular. We didn't stay on the middle level but there are loads of bedrooms and bathrooms if you have a big family. 2 of those bedrooms open up and face the ocean. Dog parents: There are 3 gates provided (I think one is semi broken but it works if you have smaller dogs), one gate is massive for the taller pups. I took my handy dandy metal one just in case and it worked great for being out in the weather. The multi level deck on the back side of home has 2 openings that exit onto the street and the deck on the front of home has 2 openings that exit onto the beach. The top deck has no exits so if you are planning out how many gates to bring and how to keep your pup safe from escaping that's should do it. There are many steps and stairs (interior are all carpeted) so if you have small dogs or old dogs you may have to help them get to the different levels. There are LOADS of cats running around the neighborhood. So if you have dogs that don't care for them (like mine) it will be an interesting time taking them to potty. We had an amazing time at David & Hilary's property. We even looked at a couple homes nearby in hopes to someday own our own little piece of OBX heaven. We are already planning our next visit. What I would suggest for improvements; 1) labels on the light switches to tell you what controls what. I often found it looked like we were having some wild party turning on and off lights HAHA. 2) Dish drying mats to protect the amazing new counter tops from water spots. 3) More of a wish than an improvement but an EV charger would be amazing in the future! We were very pleased with this rental, as a group of adults gathering for a birthday celebration. The kitchen is small, but up-to-date with everything you need, and the location can't be beat. We saw dolphins daily and on some days, whales! A perfect off-season treasure.

This was our 1st time to OBX and we definitely plan on returning. Ocean Breeze was exactly as the pictures showed, you can't ask for a better place right on the beach, with a pool, pet friendly and close enough that you can see the sound for sunset as well. Hilary and Dave were excellent host and very responsive to the many questions I had, especially being a "newbie" to OBX. Just enough to do but not over crowed with stuff. We loved going to a place about 30 minutes from the house on route 12 called Pop's raw bar and grill in Buxton the food was amazing and greatly priced. We really didnt do to much sightseeing as we really were just looking for a place to relax and this place definitely allowed us to do that. We picked up all the food and drinks at Wal-Mart on the way in, its about an hour from the house but so easy and convenient. The weather couldn't of been more perfect. Our dog had a ball sitting on the deck watching the pigeons and seagulls and on the beach chasing them in the water. Thank you again for making this process so easy Hilary.

Amazing location, beautiful home, inches from ocean. Breathtaking sunsets. The owners were so attentive, answered all our previous check in questions. Checked on us via text first day and check out day. Will definitely go back.

Great house, comfortable for the four families that visited together! Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom! Kids loved the giant sleepover on the lower level. The owners were so friendly and helpful! We had a great time on the beach and in the tidepools, perfect for the littles that came along. It was great to be able to have a fire on the beach right out front, star gazing was great! The grill and sand washing situations need work. My husband had to really clean the grill to make it usable, not something you expect to have to do. It was also very small. The outdoor shower worked but needs some attention. So did the master bathroom on the upper level. I know the newer owners said they were working to update a few things. It was hard to control the sand, although we did our best! The house had great common areas, plenty of deck space— you can see the bay as well even though this house is ocean front! Having some shade on the top deck was great! Overall, our crew had a really great time!

We had a great time staying in the house. The house was clean and the location could not be better - just steps away from the beach and very close to the pier. The hosts were great too. We had a dishwasher and electrical issues while we stayed at the house and David and Hilary were very prompt in sending help over to fix these. None of these issues were their fault, of course, and they can happen at any rental, but giving 4 stars versus 5 given the issues did impact some of our stay.

My family and I have stayed in the outer banks for the last 25 years. We have never stayed in rodanthe and it was by far the best place. This house was perfect, each bedroom was big and all had their own bathrooms. You literally step outside and your on the beach. There were no dunes or bridges that you need to walk over. The owners were the best we have ever worked with, always texting to see how things were going. Great customer service. This is the house we will alway stay at for now on. The town of rodanthe is more our style, peaceful and low key. Beaches were not crowded and you can have fires on the beach here. This house will not disappoint it’s a great find.
