clean n cute! owner was very accommodating and nice to chat with and the location was right near shops n coffee n just a few quick blocks to beach! loved it! oh and the bed was wasaaay more comfy than sunset surf- to me that actually makes them a toss up

no air conditioning- and hot days are here to stay so ductless ac units would be a great investment

The location was one block off the main road which meant it was a quiet area. There were several restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance, and the beach was an easy walk.

A larger bed would have been nice and the fan in th bathroom did not work in Unit 6. Alternatively, I could not figure out how to turn it on.

Also, having all hardwood floors limited my little dog to only feeling comfortable sitting on the bed. The floors weren't clean so I had to wear shoes in the room; if I walked around barefoot I had to brush the sand off the bottom of my feet before getting into bed. Also, getting the keys from a lock box in the dark was a huge struggle.

This was a nicely updated motel with wood floor and modern decor. Small fridge was great for leftovers and drinks. There was room to set up dog bed. Restaurants in Manzanita are wonderful and walking distance to beach and shops.

No celing fan in the bathroom though there appeared to be two, no way to turn on. (The room did have a working floor fan tho!) Deck out back window was for another room and felt a little too much when they were out there, but only happened once as we were out exploring a lot.

The bathroom was small and needs a shelf or somewhere to put toiletries. Super high shower head makes it impossible to shower without getting your hair wet.

The location was great, easy walk to the beach and convenient parking. Getting in with a lockbox was very easy. The room was clean and very nice.

The check in time was a bit late and the staff was a bit abrupt when we got there early. The door opened in the middle of the night when it was locked, which was terrifying. The tv stopped working on the second day and we could not get the connection to work.

The bed and pillows were wonderful and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful in assisting me when I needed assistance.

The furniture in the room was extremely uncomfortable. There were two wooden high stools that were very uncomfortable to sit in and there was one two-person couch that was so low to the ground that I slid out of it while I was trying to get dressed. I did ask the management to bring me a regular full-sized chair, which they did, and that helped me out a lot. Also, there was no closet or wardrobe to hang your clothes. There was one 5 hook hat rack next to the bed, where I had to drape my clothes while I was there.

The unit is clean and bright. The check in process was smooth. Distance to the beach is about 3-4 blocks reasonable walking distance.

The shower head is fixed/non-flexible. It is mounted at a minimum of 6 feet, and it sprays directly into my face. I am 5 feet tall and would have appreciated a separate spray shower hose. I am not certain how this shower works out for families with short children. We stayed in unit 9. The bed was maybe a maximum if 18 inches from the outer wall. Yet, there was at least 4 foot clearance to the right of the bed. Moving the bed to the right by at least a foot would allow the person accessing the bed from the left to not have to “scoot” their their way in and out. There is a nice note reminding guests to be mindful about closing doorstep, and minimizing noise. We experienced no difficulties with noisy doors. However, our neighbor in unit 10 decided to rearrange the furniture at 4:45 am by dragging it across the floor!
