It is difficult to make a visit to the Masters better, but this property did just that. Less than an hour from the Master's front gate. This property is AMAZING! It is clearly a home for the owners, not just a rental property, truly beautiful. It is incredibly well stocked in the kitchen, more than everything we needed to cook and grill—enough supplies so we didn't have to run out to store for anything. The views from the screened-in porch are stunning. It is a fantastic place to enjoy the lake, even if you don't go to the Masters. Jim communicated well up front, touched base, and made every effort to ensure we had a great stay. We will be back

Our third stay at this magnificent home was amazing. The house was awesome in the past, and they renovated the upstairs, which is even better. Brand new huge bathroom, six bunk style beds with everything you need. The view, as always, is fantastic. Fire Pit, the Dock, just wished we had thought ahead to also book for the Masters; by the time we did, it was already booked. Hands-on communication and support from Jim, this is their home, with all the supplies you could ask for and all the personal touches of a home

This large house on Lake Oconee was just perfect for us. Everyone loved it!

This place is wonderful inside and out! Jim was the most accommodating host I have EVER had. The home is gorgeous, the view and location are top notch. The beds are the most comfortable and the house lacked nothing for our stay. We will be back!

House was cozy and clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Air conditioned porch was an added bonus. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable for our group of 5. Check in process was very easy and our host let us know we could get in early. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, the house was situated at the end of a dead end street and was very private. We will definitely will rent again!

Great property for a couple of families with kids to stay at. Layout is nice plus an upstairs area to put the kids in to watch their own shows and play. Right on the edge of an inlet and the larger part of the lake so great spot for the kids to swim without heavy boat traffic. Close to restaurants and stores. Clean house with all the utensils and kitchen gear you could need and everything to start the fire pit. Hope to come back another year.

Amazing property. Five stars on everything. We had 10 family members and had plenty of room for everyone. Especially loved all the different seating areas to gather. Wonderful dock with great fishing and swimming area. The views are fantastic from the kitchen, living, and sunroom.Shopping for supplies is very close to the property.Definitely would recommend this property. The host was was wonderful!

This is our second time renting from the Walshes. What a beautiful property, the house is wonderful for two families with kids. We loved the seclusion of the cove. The house is fully stocked and convenient to Publix. Everything is easy, check in, communication, check out. Nice recommendations for boat rentals. I loved the enclosed sun room and sitting on the deck watching the wildlife. We would love to return.

This was our family’s third year at the Walsh’s lake home. The house is perfectly located, well stocked and maintained. The upstairs was perfect for our three grandchildren. The deep water cove made docking the boat easy and provided a great place to swim. We look forward to coming again next year.

Two girlfriends and I stayed for a long weekend. The house was immaculately clean, had EVERYTHING we needed and was absolutely beautiful. The sunroom, the deck, the boat dock, the firepit.......ALL so great! The beds were uber comfortable and even the sheets and towels were top quality. The location is great - at the end of a deadend street and on a wonderful cove on the lake. Great restaurants, grocery store, and anything else you need are 5 - 10 minutes away. The owners were fantastic. Great communication - allowing us to arrive early and stay late since others weren't coming in after us. Super easy check-in/out..... It was such a good experience, we've already talked about making this an annual event!

Another excellent visit to Lake Oconee and a wonderful stay again at our favorite place. The owner and host, Jim, is gracious and accommodating while the home and its location couldn't be better. Sunrise coffees and starlit evenings overlooking the large lake view are perfect! We will be back.

Came with three friends for a short stay. The house is enormous, could comfortably fit many more people but we enjoyed each having our own room and bathroom. The view is incredible, the house is sparkling clean, the kitchen is well stocked with essentials. There are so many different ways to enjoy the lake view, we especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and the lovely table right on the dock. Will definitely be coming back here!

Great Property for our family getaway! Lot's of room, super clean, great kitchen and great fishing. We were very comfortable as we spent time watching world cup soccer in the main living area and spending time together in the 3 seasons room. We will be back!

5+ STAR! The accommodations were absolutely superb; probably the nicest property any of us have ever stayed in through VRBO. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, the decor was stunning and the beds/linens were super comfortable. In fact, one friend who has trouble sleeping got the best nights sleep! Of course, the setting and the amazing lake views were the highlight of the trip! We loved all of the outdoor living space - the screen porch, the deck, and the dock. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. The property is also very close to anything you might need and a great home base to explore the area. Our group is already planning the next Lake Oconee outing to this immaculate property with a wonderful host! Thank you!

What a wonderful long weekend we had at this lovely cottage. We loved this comfortable, well-appointed home! The beds and linens are wonderful, the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need, and the fire pit was such a great fun night. We were there over a very busy weekend, but the cove is lovely and quiet and deep-water for the kids to play all day off of the dock. This will be a first-choice home the next time we head to Lake Oconee. I can't recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful vacation experience at The Walsh's home. The property is accurately represented on VRBO. Every possible amenity is provided, from fire starter kindling to night lights in the hallways and bathrooms. The owners have considered every need. In addition, they stay available via text during your stay and joyfully answer any questions throughout. This property is close to Publix (the only grocery store so plan accordingly-it's pricey) and it is about halfway between Greensboro (visit The Gaol) and Eatonon (visit Uncle Remus Museum). There are several delicious restaurants within a mile or two; Iron Fork, 5b BBQ, and Oconee Bistro were favorites, as well as, Yesterday Cafe in Greensboro. We found the dock great for spending the day in the water, either floating around with family, or pulling up in your own boat. The house is spacious with a great floor plan and view of the lake from the common area. The deck is great for sunbathing but also has areas of shade for relaxing and the screen porch is comfortable - the perfect place to relax, watch lake activities, eat, and play cards. The kitchen is well appointed. If you've forgotten ANYTHING, you will probably find it available in the kitchen or hall pantry. The vibe is "pay it forward" because the owners have created a true guest experience. You want to replace/replenish things you use, even though it is not expected or required, simply because you are experiencing generosity. We felt like we were visiting a family home. I've used VRBP properties in the past and felt like I was packing to go camping. Not here. It was a truly relaxing, everything covered, no worries we're at the lake, experience. I highly recommend this property.

Thanks to the Walsh family for sharing their home with our family. This is our second stay and hope to be back again next year. The house was very clean and well kept. It has a great screened porch with wonderful views of the lake. The upper level was the perfect setup for the grandchildren. The kitchen is well stocked and all the beds are very comfortable. The dock is on deep water, great for swimming and docking your boat.

I’ve rented this house multiple times. The home is amazing, the location is amazing and the amenities are amazing! Jim is a fantastic host and I’ll definitely be renting again!

We just completed our second stay at this property and it was outstanding! The privacy and proximity of the location were a great surprise! The grocery and restaurants are very close by should you chose not to cook. There were nine members of my family there, 2 of us, 3 adult children, 3 teenaged grandchildren and a friend. Everyone enjoyed a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The Walshes were great hosts and very responsive. Thank you for a great time!

Our stay was perfect. The host was accessible and very informative. The location was perfect in a small alcove off direct lake traffic but perfect for swimming and boating. The house was fully stocked and perfect for our combined families of 8 total. This is our third lake home rental and tops them all. I can’t wait to return.

We don’t have enough great things to say about this beautiful house. The location was perfect as it was close to everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The house was large enough to accomdate three families with small children (ages 2-7). The adults and children enjoyed the gorgeous backyard which includes a dock and fire pit. The house was very clean upon arrival and well maintained. The host, Jim was always available to answer any questions we had and was very nice and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our lakeside getaway and house. We can’t wait to return.

Great communication from Jim from booking on through our stay. Lovely house right on the water with a short, flat walk to the dock. Nice to arrive at a house which was stocked with everything we needed… plenty of towels, dishes, trash bags, etc. Appreciated the binder with recommendations for restaurants and grocery which are all nearby. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay at Lake Oconee.
