The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Sara, Leah, Sasha, Rose, you were all amazing. Thank you so much for such a welcoming stay. We will definitely book this hotel again.
Nothing. Everything was great!

First of all ,this was meant to be a trip of a lifetime.
It certainly wasn't.
We arrived at the Hotel Chalet Lecrin at 215 pm and were locked out of the hotel. We couldn't even get into reception to warm up,it was -10 degrees and we were freezing. We didn't know what to do.There was no answer to the intercom ,we couldn't just leave our luggage outside as I didn't want our snowboarding gear to be stolen.
We waited for 1 hour in the freezing cold ,then another guest turned up and let us in via a coded door, we didn't have the code ourselves otherwise we could of let ourselves in.
The reception is only manned for a couple of hours in the morning, and a few hours in the evening otherwise the doors are locked at other times. We waited for a member of staff ,who turned up at 4pm.
After we checked in we were allocated a twin room. The problem was we had booked a twin room with a balcony, there was no balcony.
I went down to reception to inform the receptionist of the problem, I was first told that II hadn't booked a room with a balcony, so I showed them my email booking.
I was then told the hotel was fully booked.
There was nothing I could do, I was not happy in the slightest.
The room was tiny and clostraphobic and hot.
I didn't want to ruin my sons holiday which I booked for his 21st birthday which is coming up.
Our bed sheets weren't changed all the time we were there, 6 nights.
The towels in the bathroom weren't changed all week either, when I asked the manager, she informed me that they don't change the sheets and they don't change the bathroom towels for seven days either. We had 1 towel each.
For 300 euros per night I would if expected a lot more,at least clean towels and bedding.
The room was very dusty ,which affected my son who has allergies, the main allergy being to dust.
He was constantly sneezing.
There was nothing to like about Chalet hotel lecrin.
I didn't like anything about this place .I feel totally ripped off ,like I said it was meant to be the ultimate snowboarding experience but sadly it was the opposite

the kind staff, the comfort, the location, the facilities
One thing: the screaming children ( but that’s because the parents allow their kids to scream and run everywhere including in the swimming pool and its facilities, which schould be to relax after a day of ski)

Food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly helpful and polite. Cleanliness everywhere and room, would have preferred slightly larger room but it was warm and comfortable.
WIFI connection was sometimes not great when everyone was in the hotel. But when worked was great.

What a terrible stay. No value for money. I paid EUR 2250 for one week in March. For this amount of money you get a simple basis breakfast, a room with no balcony and no view. They forgot the bring new towels or toiletpaper. They did not vacuum the hotel room once. Two days the towelservice did not deliver the towels to the hotel. The wifi was the whole week broker. During breakfast they ran out of brown break and yoghurt. The hotel is full with English guests. They did hot tell me in advance that the hotel has been leased by Mark Warner (UK travel agency). The entire hotel staff was very unexperienced young people for the Mark Warner crew. They should have told me up frond. I am Dutch and I arrive in a 99% English guest hotel. That's not fun. They had a few rooms available and had put them on booking.com for high rates. How can they charge me EUR 2250 for one week? It's ridiculous. In Austria I stayed last year in a 4 star hotel in Fiss for the same amount of money, and diner was also included there.

The location of the hotel was great for the nearest ski lift. The breakfast was pretty poor. No fresh fruit except apples, the coffee was very strong and bitter. very limited choice of cereal or yoghurt. Literally plain yogurt and rice krispies or cornflakes.
Better choice of fruit for breakfast. we had dinner on the first night and it was pretty awful. We ordered the chicken burger and it was very dry and inedible. My husband ordered the fish and it was clearly a frozen piece and just popped into the microwave. We did hear that some other guests complained that theirs was still frozen in the middle. Not great!

Simple but adequate breakfast
Booking.com had not communicated our booking to the hotel so on arrival we were sent away to another hotel only to be sent back after an hour of wondering round and our booking was then found. Ended up in basic room having paid for deluxe

Nice room, very clean and cosy! Loved the swimming pool and sauna. Location is perfect.
Communication with staff, pool is a little cold, there was no parking space so we had to park in the Centre.

The rooms were kept very clean. There was a reasonable amount of choice at breakfast. Good ski lockers with access direct to the road. Using the lift a short 3 minute walk to the Tuffs ski lift. The town had a good sherpa supermarket and plenty of places to hire ski gear. The restaurant menu is good value.
I chose the hotel for it's high reputation with WIFI. However there was no wifi for the first 3 days and very limited WIFI for the rest of our stay. The bar area was very cold - but later in the week they did light the fire. The bar pump also broke down for 4 days - and so had to pay a higher price for bottled beer than draft.

Friendly staff
When I arrived they asked me to pay €10 tourist tax, even though booking.com information for the hotel explicitly said tourist tax was included in the price. The hotel said booking.com had got it wrong, but the hotel did refund me the money at checkout. Also there was no WiFi available for guests, even though Booking.com info on the hotel explicitly said WiFi was available.b
