Der Hauptgrund für die schlechte Bewertung: das Dach war bei einem starken Regen undicht und es hat auf unser Bett geregnet. In der ersten Nacht bekamen wir ein neues Zimmer, in der zweiten war das dann nicht möglich und wir sollten zurück ins nasse Bett. Der Schaden würde repariert werden. Bis mittags ist nichts passiert, also sind wir früher abgereist, Erstattung gab es nicht. Wir haben selbst einen Eimer aufs Bett gestellt, der das Wasser auffängt, damit die Matratze nicht komplett durchweicht. Das frühstücksbuffet sollte bis 10 Uhr gehen. Um 8:30 Uhr gab es kaum noch etwas, an anderen Tagen fiel das Frühstück einfach aus und man musste erst Mitarbeiter suchen um zu fragen, was los ist. Wenigstens hat man das Geld dafür dann wieder bekommen. Die Ausstattung ist eigentlich perfekt für socializen, aber das Hostel wirkt tot. Vom Restaurant sind die Rollläden runter, keine Ahnung, ob es jemals etwas zu essen gab, ich habe es nicht gesehen. Hier fehlt es eindeutig an volunteers, die animieren, und an Events, die die Leute zusammenbringen. Es hat alles Potential, aber so wirkte es wie ausgestorben und die Mitarbeiterinnen haben keinen Elan etwas daran zu ändern, Hauptsache Touren werden angedreht.

Wifi didn’t work well

The staff where amazing! Everyone is so friendly and you meet so many amazing people, it’s a very social hostel and a great way to make some new friends on your travels. I would recommend this hostel to anyone, i just left and already want to go back, highlight of my trip. Two most special people are Maria and Danny they make they really make that place unlike any other.

Lovely large private room on ground level tucked away from the main thoroughfare, with own fridge and coffee machine, great water pressure in the shower. The pool is on,y waste deep but refreshing no the less from the heat. Did not use the kitchen but it was spacious and very clean. Danny, Gabby and Chris were very helpful and we booked all our tours with them.

The wifi near our room was awful. During our 3 months in Central America we have never been asked to pay a deposit for our towels $10 each and were fearful we would forget to take them back on checkout,

the receptionist were super friendly! Danny was amazing!

Great location! Chris is very welcoming and you get a free drink on arrival! The private room was comfortable.

The wifi is a bit spotty and the kitchen had quite a few ants - but that's to be expected in this climate.

Located in the middle of the tourist strip. Two yards with comfy hammocks. Bar on-site, free welcome drink. Staff speaks English, there's generally someone by the front desk most of the day and night.

I was checked in to a room with a bathroom that had not been cleaned - trash in the bathroom, visible dirt and someone's tweezers on the sink. Got moved to another room which was clean but has a window that doesn't close (no insect screen either) and faces an open dump of construction materials on site. Had to chase the staff twice to give me towels - $10 deposit per towel and you have to carry them to the reception at the end. In the morning my backpack left on the floor or the room was wet - water was leaking through the wall from the shower. Breakfast is extra and there is a strong up-sell to buy excursions. Would not recommend nor stay again.

Very nice and helpful staff - they took time explaining the services and the hostel around, and booked for us additional services. Very helpful when we had an issue with our tour provider. The hostel itself has nice vibes and a lovely communal garden with a pool, hammocks and tables; breakfast buffet was good with a decent choice of food and drinks. Our room also had A/C.

The rooms really need improvements as they are very old, especially the bathrooms (most of the tiles in our shower were broken). Also, music from the breakfast/kitchen area is on from 6am, which seems way too early and not necessary.

Good things about this hostel: -the people are very social and are willing to help you with anything -The breakfast was amazing with many options and for a good price. -The location is perfect, with it laying in the centre of everything.

The music. from 6:00 am to around 10:00 pm they play loud music through the day. It was loud enough to wake us up every morning at 6:00. It starts with only saxophone music the first hour and a half and then it switches to house??? at 7:30 am. Furthermore the kitchen is very limited as it only has around one knive. The stove only had 2 pits which were working, which is way too little.

The location was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful, they were even able to set us up with an excursion which was amazing. Super handy to have a bar and food available on site but not a far walk from restaurants as you are right in the town. The pool was nice and so was the view

The only issue we had during our stay was our toilet wasn’t working properly our last day.

Chris, one of the owners was extremely welcoming and he helped up with anything and everything we needed. It is right in the center of town and only takes a few minutes to walk anywhere. I would most definitely stay here again

not somewhere where a person can find quiet and clean eating areas. the kitchen looks like a group of teenage boys had been there.
