The $30 per night destination fee on top of the hotel fee. Front desk said the fee could be used as a credit if I had dinner at the Marriott. So I had dinner. My receipt reflects that credit A few days later I noticed that they charged my credit card ( which they said they needed for an incidentals) for dinner instead of applying the credit that they said they would. I now will dispute the charge

It was on the ocean

It was not typical Marriott. The employees at a Marriott usually give guests lots of hospitality. These employees are not approachable. You have to go up to them and ask questions. I am an Envoy member and usually they give you vouchers and a bag with 2 waters. Here nothing was offered. They told me I was being charged a $30. Resort fee and no breakfast, but I could use the $30 towards drinks or breakfast. I gave them my envoy number and at least I will get points. And an emergency light flashed all night in my room like a fire system light. It was a strobe light.

Great location.

I called the front desk Saturday morning and requested for trash pick up and clean up on the patio. My husband and I don’t smoke and there were cigarette butts all over the patio and other kinds of trash as well. No one came. I ended up cleaning the mess. We like Jekyll Island but might end up going to another hotel when we go back to visit.

The only thing we liked about our whole stay was the view from the room. The beach was nice / cleaner than the hotel. There's a StarBucks in the lobby. The check-in clerk was very nice at.. Checking out to go home was the best part of our stay. For anyone else who stays at this location, I recommend that they eat at the restaurant at the Westin very clean and waitress are very professional.

The building had a musky smell when we first walked into the building. The room was okay, nothing to brag about. The bathroom shower had mold around the shower floor, and the toilet paper holder didn't exist. Light bulbs needed to be replaced due to being blown out. The rooms only got cleaned every 3rd day. Being on the beach, the rooms and building should be cleaned daily. You are charged $30 extra daily for amenities that should be added for the cost of your stay. The bicycles that part are part of the amenity charge need a lot of work or replaced. The swimming pool needs to be cleaned daily. we didn't even get in the pool because of the trash in the pool. Unfortunately, we'll never stay at this location again. We actually left a day early because of the disappointment. The Westin will be our go-to going forward! I recommend that this location needs to get some tips from the Westin
