There is not better place to "debrief" the day's events than on the beautiful ocean facing deck. We sat on that deck every day except one, when it was raining all day. The home is spotless clean, bright and cheery, and has plenty of space for 3 adults and dogs. The split bedroom plan is great offering extra privacy when there are 2 families. There was one tiny issue with the ice maker, and it was fixed immediately. In the 3 years that I have stayed, that has always been my experience. Every year I have come, there have been improvements in the home, adding to the enjoyment of the stay. I wish I could give this property more than five stars !

This beach house was perfect for our family, 5 adults, 3 children. We all loved the pool and beach access and beautiful views of the ocean seeing dolphins daily. The pool was well-maintained. We plan to return!

We had a wonderful stay and would come back for sure. The location was great, awesome view, watched the sunrise from the porch every morning. The host was great, left a pan to cook our thanksgiving turkey, a nice note and a bottle of wine. Could use a deep clean and some TLC. Stairs to the pool need to be repainted, some of the bedroom and bathroom doors don’t latch. Some of the toilet seats were broken. Light switches, door knobs and door frames were dirty with food / finger prints. Again - just a few small things - the house was great and worked perfectly for our family of 7. The heated pool was great, the gas grill was great, and it was great to have private access to the beach.

It is an older style smaller beach cottage with a wonderful first row location on a great little street (quiet and tree-canopied but close to everything). It is hard to find a small house like this on the first row. Because of its size and age, the pricing is much better than other first row houses, If you want multiple en-suites and granite counter tops, or you have a larger group, this is not the right house for you. Instead, this has a killer view and is very cozy and comfortable for a small group. Everything worked well — AC, Wi-fi, pool heat, comfortable beds, ceiling fans and TVs in every bedroom. All of the bedrooms are suitable for adults, which is often not the case. Plenty of porch and pool furniture. Coastal Home & Villa is very responsive to questions and issues. My concern is that someone will buy it to tear it down and build a McMansion, but we’ll keep trying to rent it in the meantime.

It makes going and leaving the beach extremely easy, especially with young children. The house is clean and smells lovely upon arrival. The design of the house makes good use of the living space, although it may be a little tight for 10 people. It has an excellent beach view from the 2 bedrooms with the King-size beds and also, the upper patio. It was wonderful to have dinners with the whole family on the upper patio. The lower patio where the pool is located has good privacy and is well protected from the wind. We find this very helpful on days when there is a strong wind. Above all, the property management company, Coastal Home and Villa, is extremely responsive to our concerns. They sent someone over to get rid of a wasp nest five minutes after I emailed them. What speed! They also helped me to recover my wallet which I left behind in the rental bicycle on the departure day. What a big relief! The staff with Coastal Home and Villa is the best. I will definitely use Coastal Home and Villa when I return next year. I hope they have a bigger house on Dune Lane.

We enjoyed having our grand dog be able to come spend time with us on the beach. The cottage was well equipped and clean, we loved spending time on the oceanfront deck and the pool was perfect too! And we've had a lot of great homes so that says a lot. We loved the location - honestly the pictures don't do the view justice, it is breathtaking. The home is very clean and decorated nice. The pool is great and was heated to a perfect temp to enjoy for hours at a time. This house is a bit older and not as new as some other homes, but so well maintained and cared for - and location is unbeatable. I can't say enough about how wonderful our trip was because we loved the house so much. Also - super impressed with Coastal Home & Villa - best rental company we've ever worked with! So friendly, quick to respond and so accommodating. We will definitely rent this house again next year.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have been coming to Hilton Head for the past 5 years and decided to bring our whole family (6 adults and 3 kids) this year. It was the perfect family vacation! The house is steps from the beach! When the kids tired of playing in the ocean, we moved up to the pool. The house had plenty of room to spread out. Each couple had their own full bath (granted, one of them was off the pool and was only accessible by going outside) which is a real plus. Plenty of beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware (we cooked most nights; it's not too much fun eating out with 3 small children). The living area was large and comfortable. There were 2 decks with plenty of seating and great view of the ocean. We had no problems in need of management while we were there, but we did meet a supervisor upon arrival who couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. The house was too far for the kids to walk or bike ride to Coligny this year (ages 6, 5, and 4), but we think they'll be able to in another year or two! We loved that we could go straight to the house upon check in and not have to stand in line at an office to get the keys. We had chosen this particular home because it was dog friendly. But sadly, we lost our sweet Yorkie just prior to the trip. However, the house had no signs of previous dogs being there--no smell, no pet hair. As our family grows, we may have to choose a bigger home but for this year, this was the perfect vacation home for us!
