This property was a perfect location - an easy walk to South Beach with kids, an easy walk into town, and within a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen, master bedroom and bathrooms are all newly updated and very nice. Our main concern was the level of cleanliness of the property. There was heavy dust caked on ceiling fans to the point we couldn't use them, dust on furniture, under furniture, dusty cobwebs hanging from the ceiling upstairs and one of the bedrooms had a musty smell. There was also a big ant problem in the kitchen and master bedroom/bathroom - ants crawling on suitcase, nightstand, shower, countertop etc. We reached out to the property manager about the ants when we noticed them and they were quick to respond to bring ant traps. They did enter the rental to place ant traps without notifying us they were planning to do so or when. They also booked a pest control company to spray the outside of the house and that person arrived when we had just gotten back from the beach and had all of our beach stuff in the lawn. We quickly had to get everything off the yard, deck, and away from the house because of him spraying. Again, there was no communication this was taking place otherwise we would have planned around this pest control appointment. After some back and forth about the complaint of the rental being so dusty and the ant problem, we were refunded less than half of our cleaning fee.

Very well appointed and equipped house accommodating up to eight people.

Lots of fun. Close to beach, town, kids Corner. Did a Lot of bike riding down to state park and Kal-Haven trail. Kitchen was well stock except no dish clothes or dish towels?? Overall the house was clean but cobwebs along baseboards. You can tell it is a rental from the outside as yard was weedy. Back yard has a 2-3 foot strip along back fence and along garage that was all over grown weeds. Overall I would rent it again so nothing drastically wrong. Like I said, we had fun.

Loved everything about Idle Hour. Perfect location for a short walk to beautiful South Beach and into town. We didn’t have to use the car the entire long weekend The cottage is well-stocked with everything we needed. Updated bathrooms and kitchen are very nice. We took the lower level bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Adult kids took upstairs. The beds and linens were comfortable. Everything was clean. The backyard fire pit is a plus. We used it one night. This was our first trip to South Haven and Idle Hour cottage but it won’t be our last

Great location. Comfortable accommodations. Problems were quickly addressed…a slow draining bathtub and the a/c. Would stay again.

The convenience of the location is the best. The house suited the needs of 6 adults.

Surrounded by neighbors but privacy is like you’re in your own world. Very cute and comfy place to idle awhile! Great beach, Harbour, bike trail and town access.

This place was super cute and easily fit all of us girls for our annual “girls weekend” short walk to the beach and downtown. House is beautiful and has everything you’ll need for your stay.

The house was very well stocked and great for families. We cooked or grilled every night and really enjoyed the property. We also loved the short walk to the beach and the wagon and beach chairs. Remember to bring your own beach towels, but otherwise everything is provided.

All you need for a great stay is there. We generally leave a vacation rental wondering why a particular item(s) wasn't included - not at Idle Hour. From laundry detergent to bikes to beach wagons to ingredients for S'mores, it's all included. The property was also very clean and well maintained. Nice!!!

This property had it all.... amazing location, plenty of space for large families, every possible amenity needed inside and out to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing and fun lake vacation. It's very apparent the owners of this property put a lot of thought, time and effort into all the little details to make guests feel welcome. We would absolutely stay again when visiting South Haven.

Idle Hour was perfect for our family! We walked to the beach for sunsets and to swim, walked to town, rode our bikes and had a wonderful time! The house had everything we needed. We used the wagon, beach chairs, and a bicycle that came with the house - those were great to have available to us for use. The house had plenty of room for our family. We would love to come back to South Haven and stay at Idle Hour again. Thank you!

This property is magnificent. Very clean, modern and close to both beach and town. We had a comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

The location of this house is great! We could walk to South Beach, downtown restaurants, and Kids Corner park. The house is great too, just like the pictures, even more spacious too. The backyard is fun and the s’mores supplies provided is very kind! Plenty of games and kitchen items also provided. Great vacation!!

Great house for 2 families to share

Super close to the beach and downtown. Very Kid friendly and a nice kitchen.

We have been coming to Southaven for years and this is our favorite house and location so far.

Excellent would like to stay next year a week later. 3gd week on July When having trouble with TV someone came out immediately
