Location was excellent and very cute. Den was nice and pretty decor in the cabin. Nice rocking chairs on the front porch and great patio table and chairs area. We did have trouble opening the front door when we arrived , the code didn’t work as told and had to make multiple phone calls to get reset. Finally did get in and no further issues. Basement had a little closed in smell but was clean and beautifully decorated. Parking was tight but good for our one car. We would recommend this cabin for convenience and privacy but not if you have a big truck or vehicle that needs turning around or if you have multiple vehicles with your party . We did enjoy and would return for more memories! Communication was perfect with emails and preparation.

Such a cute house. Great location.so close to town! Wonderful deck nestled among the rhododendrons! Rockers on the front porch for early morning coffee! We will be back!

Not our best VRBO pick. Three big complaints and some minor ones. If you plan on enjoying the outdoor space, be prepared that you are right on the highway, so you will hear the constant hum of traffic whizzing by at 50 mph. This was our biggest issue. The kitchen is miniscule and you can't fully open the refrigerator. The shower in what we assume is the master bath is the size of a postage stamp. Only larger shower is in the basement. Cabinets (bathroom and kitchen) are all original and just painted over. Many don't stay closed. Not a standard size dishwasher and it doesn't fit the plates they provide so plan on handwashing your dishes. If you think you will walk to town, you won't unless you want to cross the 5 lane highway. Positives: neighbors were very friendly. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was good. Landscaping was well maintained. Location is convenient, just not walkable to anything. Note, only parking for 2 cars. Not a problem for us, but something to note since there isn't really street parking. We also were pretty upset with the management company. When we called to complain about the traffic noise, we spoke with Ci^%# (name omitted for her privacy). She led us to believe that we could switch to another of their properties, which happily surprised us. We spent time perusing the other options, and then we got an email recanting what she said. Telling us that we could switch but we would have to pay for both unless they were able to get a last minute rental of where we were staying... which let's face it, is unlikely. Everyone was super empathetic and nice from the management company, but a direct "I'm sorry you are disappointed" would have been better than getting our hopes up to think we had options.

My family enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was easy to get to and BRMR provided excellent directions for check-in and check-out. My teen especially loved the “apartment” downstairs. Thank you

The majority of the house was spacious except for the kitchen, which was a bit small, a one-person kitchen. Not much counter space for preparing a meal. I was cooking bacon in the oven and the smoke alarm went off. Could use some Pyrex for baking and a new can opener. The location was perfect for a base camp. The children loved the park in Blowing Rock. Beds were comfortable. The door code that we were given did not work and it took three calls to get another code. Enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch. Instructions on how to operate the TV would have been handy. The trash can is labeled "recycle", but there is no recycling.

This house was exactly what we we were looking for. The only thing I would say is it is not a mile from town if you want to walk it. Not a bad walk but you have to go over the main hwy rd. One other thing I would say they need a hair drier I forgot mine so couldn’t dry my hair. The street is Very quiet and plenty of space for us. Lower level is large if you come with 2 other couples. Overall I would rent this place again!!

Our stay at the cottage was great. If your driving two vehicles space is limited. But overall stay was great.

We had a blast in Blowing Rock for MLK weekend. The check in was seamless and the property was clean and just as advertised. Enjoyed the snow in front of the fire.

Comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of Blowing Rock town center. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area.

The cabin was very cosy and close to shops and restaurants. Everything was clean, well stocked easy to use ( tv and gas log fireplace). Beds were very comfortable.

Cozy quarters in cute neighborhood. We ate in and found the kitchen small but perfectly adequate. We used the charcoal grill. Comfortable sleeping upstairs. The downstairs was below grade and a little musty. There was a nice side deck but the sounds of the nearby highway kept us inside. Our outdoor time was spent on nearby hiking trails!

This property was great. I liked the warmth and the charm of this place. Every inch of space is used to the best of its capacity. I saw in other reviews that the kitchen lacked appropriate space. I found it quite functional because I planned to spend my meals at the fantastic restaurants that are a short walk away. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the slight mildew smell but I’m not sure this is unexpected given the location of the house. There is a dehumidifier in the home that was on the job and working as hard as it could to eliminate the moisture from that air. We emptied it everyday and appreciated its work ethic. I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

This property was terrific! It was more spacious than we expected and the closeness to Blowing Rock downtown was a huge plus.

The rental process was fine. The video of the rooms was a bit deceptive. The kitchen was especially small. Very disappointed in the lack of shades or blinds on the triple windows on the west side. The afternoon sun was so intense we could not enjoy much time in the living area. Strongly suggest some kind of sun blocking item be installed.

The property was very nice. While you could tell that the house was built in the 1950's (very narrow kitchen, original oven, cabinetry style), the renovations the owner has made were spot on. The house was very clean and well set up with everything you need. Master bathroom shower was a little small for a guy my size (6'1", 245) but was manageable. The only knock I could give it is the parking, which is just an indent from the main road in front of the house. If we had more than one car, it would have been difficult getting them both in the indent without having a car sticking into the middle of the road. Outside of that however, the house met our every need and was in a good location very close to downtown Blowing Rock. We would stay here again.
