Grâce à la présence d'un parking couvert sur place, vous pourrez décider d'y laisser votre voiture et de marcher les cinq minutes qui vous séparent de Baie de Casco ou reprendre votre véhicule pour le trajet de 5 minutes jusqu'à Lower Goose Island.

My family and I rent homes often for 1 week each summer. This house was far and above the nicest. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck, screened in porch and beautiful grounds. There were beautiful places to take small hikes and great places to have lobster or other seafood. We enjoyed Dolphins and the Schoolhouse restaurant. When cooking at home everything was so delightfully organized . . Susan and Ned were so readily available with any questions.

We stayed at the big house with an extended family group and had a great week. This house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen is big and bright and very well stocked.

We had a memorable week and marked a special birthday at this wonderful spot.The historic house is charming, amenity rich and situated on a beautiful property. We loved the garden, the grounds and the many different sites to explore on site. The kitchen is superbly equipped. We love to cook and found everything you could want - from spices to pots, small appliances, utensils, etc. We stayed in the Big House and had plenty of room for everyone to be together and find a quiet nook to be alone. Susan was very responsive and got right back to us if we asked for advice. During a heat wave Susan offered additional fans as the house doesn't have A/C. We were comfortable. We rented the Big House (BH), which shares a great dock and beach with two other cottages on site. During our stay, another cottage had an even larger number of guests than our group of 6. The only advice to offer is that renters might want to enquire about the size of other parties renting the same week on the property in case sharing beach and dock priviledges is a concern. It worked well for our group as everyone was congenial. We'd love to return to this house and to Harpswell. Having the lobster pound a short walk away made it even more magical!

It was absolutely perfect!
The house is simply charming and so well stocked! We were lacking for nothing. The setting is just beyond words.... very special and just has a magical - mystical feeling about it. Sadly we were there less than 48 hours for a family memorial service.
It's not often that my mom had all 4 of her children together, as one of my brothers lives in Alaska now. We grew up sailing the Maine coast, and there was something about this house that was just so perfect for us, for this weekend.
We met both the owners and they couldn't have been nicer, telling us the history of the property, showing us the art studio and just making us feel so welcome.
We would love to come back and stay longer! It's an easy 15 minute drive into Brunswick if you are looking for a bit more action, but you could easily just settle in on the point and happily enjoy the peace and beauty surrounding you.

This place was perfect for our group of friends celebrating a (significant) birthday. We loved the house--spent mornings in the kitchen, which was beautifully designed and had every amenity you could possibly need. Evenings were spent in the living room, around the wood stove. The bedrooms were large, with very comfortable beds. We loved the property and the beautiful views of the water. All in all, we had a great visit and loved this gorgeous and comfortable spot.

This is a beautiful house on a huge property looking southeast over Casco Bay. Me and a bunch of friends stayed here for New Year's and had a wonderful time. Lots of nice touches: the kitchen is stocked with every utensil and appliance you could need, there's hundreds of cool books on the shelves in every room, a working wood stove in the living room with tons and tons of wood. The only disappointment was that the hot tub wasn't available during winter. Would definitely recommend this place to friend groups or families looking for an easy stay in a beautiful place.

Our extended family gathered for a couple of days, staying in the Big House and the Bungalow. Both were very comfortable and well-suited to our gathering. The owners were very accessible. I highly recommend staying here!

We were in Harpswell for our son’s wedding and the big house was the perfect place for my husband and I along with our other adult children. We were able to spend some quality time together and the location couldn’t have been better. It was only a few miles away from the wedding venue and a short walk from beautiful lookout point.

EVERYTHING was just perfect. The Big House was everything we pictured Maine to be and more. It’s just beautiful inside and out. The special touches throughout the house were so meaningful due to the family history explained by the owners. It’s wasn’t just a vacation home to us - it was so much more!! The home is cozy, comfortable, spotless , and equipped with EVERYTHING!!! The views are breathtaking!!! PLEASE do not hesitate to book this home. The hosts are super sweet and kept us well informed. We loved everything about this property! The lay out of the house was perfect for our purposes with lots of room for the children to play and space for the adults as well. The kitchen was great to cook in and had everything you need. Even sharp knives! Outside on the deck had stunning views of the water. We spent time at night in the screened porch. One night we took the children to the beach and made a fire while the sun set. The dock we used to swim, have lunch and enjoy the beautiful costal waters. Perfect Maine house and forever memories!

The property was everything I hoped for and more! House was clean, organized, plenty of room for all of us, and so historic. Every detail was fascinating! The grounds were wonderful, with access to the water, kayaks, wonderful little trails, and many places to explore. It was an excellent location as well—close to hiking, rocky beaches, quaint villages, and local lobster. For the history lovers in my family, Brunswick and Bath had much to offer. For those of us who loved music and art, Bowdoin was tremendous! This property was outstanding and we look forward to coming back again!

Our college group rented the house for a reunion. It is spotless, spacious and the best equipped VRBO home at which I've stayed. We could relax immediately, spread out and enjoy property. Ocean views, porch, deck, dock, beach all lovely. We did some touring and hiking and came back to cook together comfortably and reminisce. Susan was responsive and accomodating. 6 🌟

Ned and Susan have a beautiful property and the Big House was perfectly suited for time away with our adult children. Calm, quiet, and peacefulness were what we sought and what we found. The house is fascinating with history, but has all the modern conveniences we could have needed. We cooked wonderful meals in the excellently equipped kitchen, relaxed and enjoyed the views on the beautiful deck, went for quiet walks on the property, and enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and on the beach. Susan was attentive to our questions and an excellent host. We look forward to returning!

We stayed with extended family & all agreed it was the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in! Comfortable, clean, the location was GORGEOUS, & they provided everything we needed! We loved watching the sunsets from the deck & the kids loved collecting sea shells & sea glass on the beach + climbing on the rocks near the dock. Everything really was perfect! Both the home and property were perfect for our needs and even better than we expected based on pictures. The home is clean, comfortable and most amenities you could need (thoughtful touches like extra sunscreen, toiletries, shopping bags, little things that make it feel like home). The property is amazing with access to your own private beach/cove, a deep water dock that faces an active lobster harbor, beautiful cliff trails and so much more. Our kids (10 & 8) had so much fun exploring the water in the cove as well as jumping off the dock for swims daily. The local lobster harbor (that you see right off the dock) is a quick walk away where you can purchase fresh lobster for a low price (and the home has everything you need to cook them). Ned and Susan are the most wonderful hosts. We were so lucky to meet them during our stay, we enjoyed talking with them and learning about the property and area. They made our week away feel like home! This property is the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure!

Great location located right in the middle of Harpswell for easy sightseeing of surrounding Casco Bay communities. Lots of room inside the house and on surrounding property, well supplied for our week's stay, easy access to water via a dock and beach on the property, Ned and Susan were great hosts and addressed all my questions before and during our trip.

Lovely waterfront getaway
The house was clean and as described. Nice to have the beds made upon arrival after a long 11 hour drive. The kitchen is very well equipped. Nice to have a gas stove. Pans all in great shape. I cooked three meals a day for two weeks and there was nothing I missed in the kitchen. The house and the grounds are lovely. We had guests come and go all two weeks and we never felt on top of each other. There is plenty of room to spread out. The WiFi in the house was excellent. This is truly the Big House. Comfy beds and decent linens and lots of beach towels. The pictures don't quite depict just how big it is. Nicely decorated with modern comforts with a respectful nod to the past. The owners are around a lot so you will meet their dog La Luna. Susan was a gracious host. Thank you for sharing your family treasure.

WE HIT THE LOTTERY...
renting this property! It 'checked all of the boxes' when beginning a search for a 10 day Easter vacation where babies and grandparents could visit and equally enjoy all amenities. The kitchen and all other spaces are spotless and well organized. The only regret is not being there for warmer weather water sports. The owners definitely put their all into making sure your stay is 5-star. Thank you again Susan and Ned!

Winter break in Harpswell
My husband and I had a fabulous time with our 16 year old twins and their 98 year old great aunt. Susan and Ned greeted us and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The water views and sunsets from the house are spectacular. The house is spotless and very comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Great Getaway

Special Waterfront Property
We rented this house for a family vacation to experience the joy that is Maine in Autumn. The house is truly special; we felt so fortunate to be in such an immaculately maintained, lovely house, full of antiques and glimpses into Harpswell's history. The property itself is simply breathtaking. We all loved walking the paths, and particularly loved the mossy path along cliff. Absolutely stunning.
