Great location to get away from the hustle of everyday life. Our two dogs loved it!

If you have dogs this is the place to stay! With a fenced in yard that you can easily access through the basement door and a gated deck, it's a stress relief for sure! I may be the only one who wouldn't consider it private because there are two other homes on either side, but it's quiet and very peaceful! The use of the garage was appreciated and very convenient. Beds were comfortable and the house was spacious and welcoming. Pool table was a lot of fun!! We had to cut our stay short but we would definitely go back again!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It comfortably slept 6 of us and had the best prepared kitchen we have ever seen for a rental property. The kitchen had plenty of cutting boards, pans, dishes, utensils, and any tool we could need. The view from the back porch was lovely and there were plenty of chairs for all of us to sit out and watch the sunset. The house is also a short drive from Freeport center, so it was easy to get into town for shopping and dining. There are also two garage ports for parking cars which was very convenient, as well as space in the driveway for at least two more vehicles. I feel the photos provided in the listing accurately represented the property. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely time at this home. It was comfortable and well appointed. We like to cook and there was plenty of room for several of us to work together. The area was quiet and while we didn’t have the best weather we managed to take several car trips to see the sights.

This was our third time here - it is super dog-friendly. The overall comfort of the home is wonderful - at the end of a dirt road, so dogs are safe to roam about. Close enough to get to a grocery store if you need.

This was our second year staying at the Maine Mutt Mansion and it was another wonderful experience. Everyone from grandparents to toddler to our husky loved the house. It’s just a short drive to LLBean and a beautiful place to cozy up in the winter. We can’t wait for next year!

If you’re searching for a vacation rental and this one is on your short list, there’s no need to look further, simply rent this house. Our four-generation family of 7 plus 2 dogs stayed here for a week in August 2023. It was fabulous. The setting is superb, at the end of a dead-end. At high tide, the water is just off the deck. The outdoor spaces are great. We watched a Great Blue Heron and enjoyed the Osprey nest from the deck. The house is spacious, well-maintained, super clean. There is a path to the water and rocky cove. We launched the stand-up paddleboard and kayaks from the cove. (Be mindful of the tides; we drove to a nearby boat ramp when the tide was going out.) The house is large enough to accommodate our 4 generations and provide everyone with their own space. The first-floor king is huge with a slider to the deck. The upstairs king is even bigger with a private deck; 1 twin has a private deck. The upstairs family room has a useful kitchenette; the pool table was well-used by our group. The living room is large with plenty of seating. The 7 of us were able to gather comfortably for tv or games. The kitchen is large and super functional. The house is amazingly well-stocked. It had everything we could possibly need and more. The house is full of inviting, comfortable spaces. The sunsets over the water were super. The owner was quick to respond to questions via text. This property lives up to all the promises of the listing and more.

This was our third visit to Maine Mutt Mansion. We enjoyed a wonderful week with our extended family! Loads of room for all!! Property is amazing! Clean and well stocked! Gated deck and yard are perfect for toddlers and dogs! We will be back!!

Enjoyed immensely. We all have dogs and they would have loved it too, but too far to travel with them from Louisiana and Florida. Loved the dog themes everywhere!

Don't have enough good things to say about the property and house. If you have dogs (which we did not have during our stay) this house is a must! They absolutely love dogs and even have a little doggy hut in the yard complete with little kennels and places to hang out for the pups.

This home was beautiful! We have stayed several places in Maine but this was the nicest. Well stocked, great location and gorgeous home! Hope to stay again sometime!

The house and view were perfect, and just what we needed to help us relax and unwind. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook in and enjoy the beautiful view of Casio Bay. Susanne was very responsive and helpful and we loved the neighborhood pups stopping by to visit! We will definitely be back!

Our family has been traveling to Freeport during Christmas for over 20 years. With our growing family we were excited to find the Maine Mutt Mansion. It was the perfect place for Gigi and Papa to bring their 4 grandkids and husky Nanook. The house had everything we could ask for from a crib to a bed for our pup. It was just a short drive to LL Bean to visit Santa and his reindeer. Our toddlers loved all the open space upstairs to play and the our pup loved the fence in yard. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay here! Exceptionally clean, tons of room, and was fully stocked for all of our needs. It was even decorated for Christmas. The view was amazing and property was exceptional. Highly recommend!

This was our second time at MMM - our first time was ten years ago. We AND our two dogs absolutely LOVE it there. Spectacular sunsets on the bay, a fenced-in play area for the pups - and at a dead-end road make this a special place. Also, my husband loves the wood-burning fireplace. We hope to be able to return many times in the future, as we live nearby. Makes for a great "staycation."

Very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The location is spectacular.... watching the tide come in and out was dramatic. Our dog was very comfortable, as there is no traffic on the end of this private road. It was so nice to be in a pet friendly place !

My father, son and our 2 dog enjoyed our stay. The house had a great layout with a master bedroom on the first floor for my dad, and plenty of room for my son and I upstairs. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook dinners. The dogs loved the fenced yard and had ample space to play. Homeowner was quick to respond with recommendations of restaurants for us to try. Looking forward to our next stay.

Perfect house for three generations! Spacious, well-equipped property - gated deck and yard -kept children and pets safe and secure! Love the quiet location, but close to everything!! Kayaks, bikes and billiard table all put to good use! Coffee in am and happy hours in pm on deck we’re just wonderful for lots of family time!! Enjoyed every moment here! Will come back for a third year!!!

My family (husband, 2 sons, daughter-in-law, and grandson) along with our three fur babies stayed at the house. The house was clean, VERY spacious, and had all the amenities you could need. The deck - wow-just wow! It was our favorite part of the house! We had our morning coffee, played cards together in the afternoon and watched the sunset in the evening. We brought our hammock and set it up on the deck. That was the best thing I brought! HEAVEN! It was the perfect house for all our needs. There is even a crib! We will definitely be booking again. I cried on Thursday night thinking of leaving. I didn’t want it to end!
