This was my first and last time using VRBO. The experience was terrible. The property was not even remotely close to what I thought I was renting after reading about it online. The only thing that was close was that it was right on the beach. But that is here the honesty stopped. I am meticulous when it comes to researching a potential vacation so imagine my surprise when I get to the location to find the pool not only closed but the concrete was half destroyed and undergoing patching and repairs. When I called to complain I'm not sure who I was talking to, VRBO reps or property owner reps but they claim there was a "link" somewhere on the web page that I needed to follow to find out about the pool. I maintain there was not. In fairness I went back to VRBO to find the property to look for the link in case. It was not to be found on the site. So I have no way of confirming if the link exists or not. And I thought we were renting a cottage or cabin style of apartment but it was actually rooms in a hotel. If I wanted to go to a hotel I would have made reservations at a hotel. We were trying something different this time. And it absolutely ruined our vacation. The property itself was old and in various states of disrepair. We had 8 people in our party and we ended up being split into 2 rooms. At least we were on the same floor. There is more to the horror but I am limited in characters. I have nothing good to say about my VRBO experience (force to edit version)

Property location and amenities were great Staff was professional and friendly

What a great experience! We arrived early and went straight to the resort. We were greeted by Joe, who gladly stored our bags until our room was ready. We went directly to the pool and got amazing service by Elaine. The food and drink menu was literally amazing! Then Francisco called the pool to let us know he was providing us with an early check in! We were extremely happy with our entire experience and will definitely return!
