We did not spend the night there. we found another location in Bakkafjordur. The host asked for payment before we could see the offer. And we got dissapointed and asked for our money back. She refunded 1 third of the cost. This was absolutely not what is in the annoncument of your page. Sorry to say.

This traditional Icelandic farmhouse on the sea is warm & charming! Built by a fisherman and situated on a lonely & beautiful cove, it provides quiet and peace. Johanna the owner is lovely & made our stay meaningful! The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was strong and hot! The shared kitchen has everything! Just a lovely stay in an antique Icelandic home! Thank you Johanna !!

The stairs are antique & steep, but were fine, unless you have problems with stairs.

Too far out place was cold stairs you could kill yourself on doors don’t fully close bed was uncomfortable shared bathroom with 5 others gross as it was clean no toilet paper

Johanna asked us to pay, showed us our rooms and where the shower was (maybe we still smelled like horses), everything could be found as labeled. She was not seen again. No goodbye, nothing. It was not a Happy Cove.

The bed was very comfortable. My room had it’s own heater, so I was able to set the temperature exactly the way I liked. The place was very quiet. The view is absolutely incredible. There is a very nice sized kitchen with a refrigerator, and a microwave, dishes, cups, basically everything you need. This is a very good location as a base for a trip to Fontur. I was traveling alone, so I had the single room which is fine for 1 person. There were two other bedrooms that were larger - they could each sleep two people. One of the bedrooms was very large with a sofa and table. There is a village about 4 minutes by car with a self-service-only N1 gas station that is accessible 24/7 as long as you have a credit card with a pin or a debit card and there is at least one restaurant with a very nice owner.
