Peaceful but easy to reach
The location was excellent and the facilities fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is our second visit and would definitely use again.

What a place!
There was everything we needed at the accommodation. It was very comfortable. The location was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. They were very thoughtful with leaving bread, butter, milk, apricot preserve and chocolate shortbread. Views were second to none. House was in a very quiet location but within easy reach of amenities. It was lovely that phone numbers were left if we needed help etc and the folder with all information for takeaway food plus local places that were or were not pet friendly. Lovely size garden that was very secure. Lovely walk alongside the river. Off road parking was also there.
The only thing I would say if I had to be picky is there were no curtains or blinds in the kitchen but there was no-one in front of you so it didn't matter!

A great staycation
Great location - surrounded by fields and close to the River Wansbeck which was good for some spectacular walks especially in the beautiful weather we had. Ten mins down the river was Riverside Pantry which served a good full breakfast. Over the bridge and less than ten minutes away was the Anglers Arms. 5 minutes drive to Aldi in Ashington and 50 minutes drive to Bamburgh. Garden - large and enclosed and great for our dog to wander round. Sunbeds and chairs available plus outdoor games. Facilities - kitchen was spacious with great views out over the garden and fields. Fully stocked with utensils and a really nice touch with milk, bread, scones provided. A BBQ was also available which we made use of in the fine weather. Good communication with Anne who was really helpful and nice. We loved our week away
Not much not to like aside from the bathroom /toilet location being downstairs off the kitchen which was an inconvenience more than anything. Bit tricky having a stand up shower with such a low ceiling too. Also most places have hairdryers available but we couldn’t find one.
