We were warmly welcomed on arrival by Gabriela and she looked after us extremely well during our stay. Our accommodation was comfortable although the room could have been a little larger and it's a shame that it contains a third bed rather than a wardrobe with drawer space. Breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and presentation, again thanks to Gabriela. The garden area is very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would we stay again? Yes, absolutely.

This property is actually stunning, we are defiantly going to come back in the summer so we can sit outside in the gardens. The rooms are beautiful and you have everything you need. Oh and that breakfast is lovely!

I loved everything!

Beautiful, modern and cosy. Lovely staff/owners, delicious breakfast. Lots of attention to detail which was a lovely extra touch e.g. an essential oil diffuser, mini toiletries, a full sized kettle, fridge, plug-in room fragrances, dimmer bedside lamps, remote temp controlled air con/heater etc... really couldn't fault it. Unbelievably, it was the same price as another big branded hotel (lets call it the Poliday Pin), which was dated, dirty and had poor facilities. Tongue Barn was 1000x better!

My room was quite warm in the morning, this is my personal preference as I rarely use heating at home, so it was a bit much for me. Each room has a window and a personal temp controlled aircon/heater, so I simply had to switch that on to resolve the issue. The hotel is right next to a rail track so the when the trains passed it would rattle the windows. I am a light sleeper and yet this didn't disturb my sleep at all, so not really an issue. My colleague said her bacon was over-done and that the pillows were so huge it hurt her neck. Literally the only faults we could think of.
