How could you not like a 2 minute walk to the Hot Springs. Past three homes down a slight hill, turn left, cross the road, walk past two more homes and you arrive at the reason why you choose this location. The house was not only well positioned but also had a massive two sided deck that looked out onto a private forest, giving complete privacy. We sat in the morning with our coffees listening to lyrebirds whilst at night, watched the night sky and all its stars, chilling after a tough day enjoying the magical lakes and fresh fish. The host is super friendly, the place jam packed with key essentials and the beds comfy and the shower strong and warm. A great mid week girlfriend holiday escape at a reasonable price.
The driveway is steep without a turning circle. Possible to reverse down but best done in day light and very very slowly.

It was beautifully located and very quiet, the beds were very comfortable, and the big patio would be excellent for people with young children.We walked to the Metung springs which is a must do on your visit.

Misleading advertising with booking. Com about pet, inability to get timely replies from property manager - booked morning of stay as son concussed and need stop on way home booked at 10.10am - contacted property at 10.12am to check on pet stay - told yes - hours later told extra 150 dollars for one night for pet- immediately communicated back we needed to talk - no reply to numerous calls and texts and calls - left message saying would not be able to stay if 150 dollars extra for dog - please get back to discuss - called again to say could get hold of property- finally called booking. Com / they contacted property after saying should not be a problem to get no cancellation adjusted because the charges may apply is very different to 150 extra dollars for a dog for one night to what is advertised and had only booked that morning - they tried to contact the property- did not answer. Kept trying to raise property - finally st 4pm booked another pet friendly property with no extra charged - left another message with free spirit - at 5.23pm - 2 and half hours after check got a yet back from free spirit manager in meting - saying they would generously waive dog charged even though their cleaner had done me a favour in preparing room / when would son arrived - texted straight back - thanking them for belated offer but that would have been gratefully accepted had it come in response to numerous attempted communications from me and booking.com - very strategic offer given our desperate attempts to contact property … go forward / property takes full price of stay out of credit card and registers a failure to stay - again contact booking.com - they attempt another contact with property - don’t answer them - emails back to me and booking.com that they had generously now waived dog fee - which property owner had acknowledged as misleading and blamed booking.

The property was clean, unfortunately the furniture was covered by dust sheets. That made it look untidy. The kitchen bench was covered with a table cloth which I found unusual. The microwave smelt like it was going to catch a light when using to heat up a wheat bag.
I didn’t like the mismatch decorative furnishings. The sheets didn’t match. The power was switched off when we arrived. Therefore the water wasn’t hot when we arrived. Fridge door wide open. The week before the owner contacted me on WhatsApp asking if I had paid the bond and I already had, as she had my $500 I wasn’t game to tell her I wasn’t happy with the accommodation. I won’t ever stay again there was too much contact from the owner Rita. She made a big deal about some butter being left in the fridge! Whereas I would be more concerned about the presentation of the property. it doesn’t look like the photos.

We loved everything about the property and in particular it’s quiet bush setting walking distance from Metung’s amazing Hof Springs. Rita was very helpful and prompt in all her communications and the house had all the comforts of home, plus comfy beds and an amazing deck with bush views.

Location was great right, right near the Hot Springs. Facilities was great and the Host had thought of pretty much everything required to make the accommodation very homely and comfortable.
Also the communication and the friendliness from the host when booking the accommodation.
Have already recommended to family members.
Not that didnt like no internet access, but Internet WIFI connection would be a nice feature but did not mind being away from the internet for time away.

The property is well situated, exceptionally clean, jam packed with everything you may need for your stay. We enjoyed beautiful nature surrounding us, and unobstructed views from the huge veranda. The property is located in a beautiful new development adjacent to Metung Hot Springs. There is a country club restaurant nearby where we had wonderful dinner and absolutely amazing breakfast. Plenty of space around to walk our dog, 5 min drive to the marina as well as to 100 steps walk and lovely lake beach. Rita us a very caring and responsive host.

Awesome location, so quiet away from everybody yet close to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs right across the road and the nearby walking tracks. Super clean. Fully equipped with everything handy for our use. Cosy as beds. Huge balcony for our dinner and drinks at sunset was a treat!

It is our second stay. We last stayed here 12 months ago. When we first stayed, this property just opened and was great, this time it was even better with lots of added extras. It was fantastic! Rita the hostess is very friendly, professional and most hospitable, taking the time to recommend loads of local places to eat, drink, fish and explore. She has a huge amount of contacts and knowledge around the East Gippsland area and beyond and throws in information about lots of hidden treasures! Thanks Free Spirit. See you again next year sometime. :-)

Rita( host) asked 300 dollors bonds before arriving, but refused to return it by making up excuses.
There was no wifi or signal, even the TV doesn't have good signal.
There is no hot water on the second day.

The house was clean, allowed us to bring our dog and was in a great location. Great place for a quiet, restful stay. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor deck and short walk down to the water. We appreciated the host’s recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area as well. Hope to come again once the hot springs nearby opens up!

Rita the Host was absoloutly the best person ever. Rita was very delightful and informative. The house is gorgeous and tranquil. I felt I was at home in the kitchen as there was so many things we had to prepare our dishes. The little back bar area on the deck is so peaceful. Lovely small house on the hill above Metung, with a huge deck . Extremely clean, comfortable and relaxing break. The only sounds we heard were bird song and frogs! Rita the owner was very approachable, friendly and informative. We will return!

Private location, only 5 minutes easy drive to Metung Village, super friendly and efficient owner - Rita was such a pleasure to deal with, I really loved the serenity of the big open spaces that surround the property , huge balcony and the smell of the surrounding gumtrees. Kookaburras singing in the afternoon while I was sitting on the balcony reading my book in the afternoon was my highlight as was the sound of the frogs overnight coming from the billabong next door which is along The short Billabong Walk track right across the road from the new Hot Springs currently been built.

The owner provided excellent information to assist us prior to arrival such as extra items that we could bring with us to make our stay more comfortable. The description of the property was accurate and the area was pleasantly quiet.
As the property is in a new subdivision, our GPS didn't accurately pin-point the location so a street number on the driveway would have helped. Also a street map of the locale would have been useful for our trips into town.

Such a quaint, peaceful, private and very very clean new holiday home. We are the very first guests who have stayed here and we absolutely LOVE this property and we will stay again and again. We spent many hours just relaxing on the ' huge' balcony looking out to the surrounding gumtrees and listening to the serenity of the many native birds around. The home is much much better than how it looks in the photos!
