The house is big and we were all very comfortable staying there, the table was big enough for all of us to dine together. And it was good to have two bathrooms! The owners were very responsive to our messages and came when we needed.
The kitchen is not very well equipped for home cooking, and the grill out doors needed all equipment. We ended up using a slicer for cheese to flip burgers. It would be helpful if there was a mirror in the second bathroom, and better lighting. Also, one of us slept on the couch in the living room, but there were no blinds for the windows! :) The summer sun got the better of her sleep that night.

Die Lage war perfekt, es lag ruhig und zahlreiche Attraktionen konnten von diesem Ort angefahren werden.
Die Sauberkeit war eine Enttäuschung. Geschirr und Besteck mussten vorher gespült werden, der Backofen war für uns nicht benutzbar, ein Topf war schwarz, der Spülmaschine fehlte Salz und Klarspüler und die Fenster ließen sich nicht alle öffnen. Vermieter brauchte lange zum antworten.
Vorteil: Trotz nächtlicher Anreise konnten wir ins Haus

Comfortable, spacious, and beautifully-decorated accommodations in a quiet area. This was a perfect stop for our family vacation, driving from the Golden Circle to Southern Iceland. We loved being able to stargaze from the living room windows (on a cold March night), and we were lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights! If we had more time, we would have loved to try out the hot tub.

Wonderful huge villa in the countryside. Quiet! Hot tub with view of the sunset. Simply amazing. Easy to check-in and check-out. Perfect to explore the Golden Circle corner. Selfoss with supermarket etc is not too far.

The Iceland Inn was great. It was in a beautiful location on a horse farm and was more than spacious enough for two families or eight total people. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. The wifi worked perfectly even with several people using it at the same time and the hot tub was a nice addition.
Nothing much. We had to ask for more toilet paper as there was only a 1.5 rolls when we arrived. Also the hot tub took several hours to fill (the owner leaves clear instructions...it just takes a while) so plan on starting that process early in the day if you are going to use it.

the little ‘visitors’ or inhabitants in the attic (mouse or other rodent most likely)
we only stayed one night because of a storm on our first night (roads were closed), no refund which is understandable but would’ve been a nice gesture.

The house, kitchen and bedrooms are bigger than is shown on the pictures, which is a nice surprise! We saw the most beautiful northern lights and a few shooting stars when we were in the hot tub.

Super Haus, perfect kitchen with all your heart would desire, Coffee etc. Comfortable beds, cosy floor heating, schick leaving room with TV, huge dining table, washing mashine, hot tube.

One point to be substracted for the bathroom - shower area.
I highly recommend this place and we would book it again! Thanks to the family for renting the house!

This is an exceptionally modern and comfortable home situated on a horse farm between Selfoss and Fludir. Beautiful setting just off the main road. 4 bedrooms with a large eat-in kitchen and living room! Plus, a hot tub (but we had just come from The Secret Lagoon). Trust me, this is a great value for the $$$. Helga keeps a nice place!
