The cottage was clean and comfy with plenty of space, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The communications were friendly and helpful and we had all the instructions we would need. The location of the cottage was brilliant, with plenty to see and do, and we had an amazing time visiting and can't wait to book to come back again :)

Surprisingly spacious property. Excellent location metres from the main street with easy access to all Ballater's amenities. Very quiet at night. Excellent wi-fi and powerful shower with instant hot water. On street parking available immediately outside property or if busy close by. Location provided several walks without having yo use the car.

Very minor points but some crockery could have been better and some internal doors were a little difficult to open once closed.

Found it hard to find when I arrived in town

The cottage was in a lovely, central, but peaceful location. Rooms good size. When warm this is a lovely comfortable cottage. The HDMI cable for the TV was a great touch.

There was a lack of detailed information about use of kitchen appliances. One of the kitchen hob controls was not working. On arrival the cottage was a bit cold and we had no information about how to use/control the heating. Needed at least one bin in the bathroom, and one in the lounge. No instructions given regarding rubbish and recycling. Would suggest that an instruction document be produced in digital format (.doc/pdf etc) and be sent to clients by e-mail. That way all options can be covered.

Location was good for our visit to Balmoral to attend the Braemar games and to see the Balmoral castle. Beds were comfortable.

The lighting, particularly in the kitchen, was very dim, particularly since this is an older, inside apartment. It was a bit difficult to get the key from the lockbox as the latch inside the box was stuck and challenging to open for access to the apartment keys.

Self catering Central location with easy access to shops

Being on the tall side the sofa was a little low Which made getting up a bit difficult.

contact with the owner was very abrupt and unaccommodating . old place with lots of things unusable. leak from the only shower which they said they’d fix but didn’t!
